Bringing the first map (of four) to Fortnite isn't hurting anybody, especially since it's only going to be around for a month. You don't really make the connection why any of this is bad, especially since most of the examples you give are in conjunction with new games and content. There are a lot of things wrong with the games industry, but this feels like a really minor issue to be this riled up about.
I mean, the idea is to show recent examples of nostalgia bait because it's happening so often at this point. It's bad because it's lazy recycled content made for easy money and it's not hurting anyone, but it's to show companies are taking advantage of you. WoW came out in 2004, MW came out in 2009 and 2011, and Fortnite came out in 2017. I'm giving a range of this because it's happening way more often. There's nothing wrong with playing any of these haha but thought it was an interesting topic to research and talk about.
I think there is a something that the big companies are missing when using their big Ips. Since it’s basically a guarantee that games like COD will sell, instead of quickly patching something up because people will buy it like they are doing now, they could develop something for longer and make a better product and people will also buy. But I guess it comes down to, do they want their money now or a year or 2 later.
@@ShaggyMcSwaggy i feel its more than COD as well, Overwatch 2 was rushed, so was halo, Cs2. But yea, big publishers abusing their ips to get some quic cash and then sometimes patch the game with time.

it's always about the money and since COD is such a safe IP, they have no incentive to branch out creatively.
