Maddy fits into the scene perfectly fine, looks like Cleetus abducted a librarian and she is so happy about that, the more recent videos with her in them show her enthusiasm and support for Garrett and Cleetus, and she is bright, bubbly and refreshing. Very cool that Cleetus has a nice one.
Hats off to Kyle. He could've ended the McFarland saga before it even began, yet kept it real and helped Garret get to where he is today. Tells a lot about a person.

I have watched your channel become more that just an automotive channel, but and obsession for most of us. I admire your down to earth, good ole boy demeanor, and your good-hearted attitude toward sharing your success with your friends on TH-cam. Your business savy and work ethic is now paying off, and you have surrounded yourself with reliable people that are like minded. James and Coop are the best friends that a guy could have. You come up with these crazy ideas, then James gets this mischievous glint in his eye, accompanied by that sly grin, and says something like, "lets juice it and turbo it and drive it on the sidewalk". He seems to me to be just one of those people who are born for excitement and pushing the limits of vehicles, probably other things too but we only see the things that he makes go fast. It's so refreshing how you are so damn down to earth man. He needs a break, it causes a lot of stress to upload every day. It affects you mentally over time and you start to not enjoy doing it. Seen it happen to a lot of youtubers then they just disappear for months
FWIW, my dad ran a production company from the mid 90s up until he passed last year. He did everything end-to-end...just like you guys, from concept to execution, and doing all the distro afterwards to physical media. Doing daily videos and knowing how many angles you need, B roll to sift through, checking over your work over and over (and over) looking for edits, checking the feel clip to clip, making sure you assemble the timeline in a way that’s sensible without blowing the surprise, doing custom bumpers for projects, doing the graphics for each new clip, it all adds up. Hats off for putting such a solid production together for a whole month. Far from easy to do -right-, and it’s more than commendable.

Mate, I'm just finishing my law school in 3 weeks - had to study due to spine injuries. Have an electrical trade, and played with cars since I was 16 (now 33), had my first Barra Ute in 2007. Been watching your channel all through law school and has been the thing that got me through as I can't work on cars anymore. You're a legend mate! Look forward to another 3 years!

I remember watching your first videos. I remember when you took your girlfriend car shopping, with your Mom and Dad. I remember because I was laying in a hospital bed recovering from an amputation of my left leg. I was just getting into TH-cam and you put a huge smile on my face, when a smile, at the time was pretty hard to come by. I was building a 67 El Camino drag car at the time, so our common intrest kept me watching. I have been a regular at your site, since I have had 17+ ensuing surgeries. As time, and all my funds blew past me, I sold everything near and dear to me to keep up with my medical bills. I had to sell the car's engine to pay bills, which broke my heart since I built it myself. I sold everything but my 1/2 finished Elco. I see, in you, the love for racing. I see me, in you when you are racing Leroy, especially. I want you to know, you have helped keep my dream alive, that someday soon, I will be on the track again, doing it...for Cleetus...and Holley (I love that sweet dog).
Steve, I know that your having a tough go if it and I’m sure you have had many really bad days, and have wondered why all of this has happened to you. I’ve never been in your situation with the loss of a limb. I’m sure it must be mind numbing . I do know that if you put your trust in Jesus that you can get through all of this . I know that it must be heart breaking to lose your engine, but I’ve seen guys on TH-cam that were double amputees that not only built their hot rod but raced it as well.Be encouraged and keep a positive outlook and don’t let go of you dream or the Elco. @@allanpolk2681 Thank you Allan. It is hard. I have never given up. I work as much as I can(I am currently studying CAD/CAM), but it seems no matter how hard I try I end up on the operating table. I think what makes all this extra difficult is that my younger years I was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and lifted weights very regularly (even between operations). As a matter of fact, I worked my way through college as a Hollywood stuntman. I worked even after I lost my leg. I was nominated by the Academy of Motion Pictures for "Most Spectacular Sequence in Film." I was extremely charitable and helped some very big stars get the start. Did it come back around? No. But, to no avail with a total of 39 surgeries, two helicopter crashes, a chemotherapy overdose and chronic pain... I think I am cursed. I raced shifterkarts with one leg and one season won every race I entered except one and won two national events. Still, I lost everything(except my beloved El Camino). Right now, my heart aches.

I’d be interested in hearing more about how you and cooper met, maybe have him do a video from his perspective detailing his thoughts on the channel and the events that lead to it being a major thing.
Two things: I’m a college professor and I can tell you that I’d much rather have students that really want to be there and see it as helping them achieve their goals. So good for you for leaving school to work towards your goals. Second, you don’t have to feel obligated to share your personal life with the public. Taking care of your relationships and family is so important. I think it is noble to shield your girlfriend from the wack jobs that lurk on here. It’s totally cool to compartmentalize your life, especially if that protects those you love. Good luck man. We appreciate your hard work.
Idea: neighbor gets “stolen” prior to some neighbor-focused scene at FF and y’all hear it in the distance and follow the noise to the track.. neighbor is being absolutely flogged drifting the figure eight.. when the tires finally blow, the driver emerges (queen/princess/duchess mcfarland) triumphantly.. cleeter acts like he doesn’t know who she is but makes some kind of epic comment like “brothers, I don’t know who that thief is but she done stole my heart more than neighbor” and then a relevant segue into the formal introduction. We’re all certain that she’s an amazing person, considering your drive and work ethic... and she may or may not have drift chops.. but that’s something a person can learn, especially if she wins over your audience (even if it is somewhat contrived) because an epic introduction of an epic significant other is kind of how at least I feel it could be done.. we know she’s at least your equal, possibly greater.. and somebody that special deserves a special introduction, you know? Just my 2¢.. I know I’m kind of a nobody but hey, might as well leave a suggestion in the box right?

FWIW, my dad ran a production company from the mid 90s up until he passed last year. He did everything end-to-end...just like you guys, from concept to execution, and doing all the distro afterwards to physical media. Doing daily videos and knowing how many angles you need, B roll to sift through, checking over your work over and over (and over) looking for edits, checking the feel clip to clip, making sure you assemble the timeline in a way that’s sensible without blowing the surprise, doing custom bumpers for projects, doing the graphics for each new clip, it all adds up. Hats off for putting such a solid production together for a whole month. Far from easy to do -right-, and it’s more than commendable.
Cleet, you don’t owe “us” anything! Just keep the car and FF content pumping out! Don’t put your private life in harms way.

Mate, I'm just finishing my law school in 3 weeks - had to study due to spine injuries. Have an electrical trade, and played with cars since I was 16 (now 33), had my first Barra Ute in 2007. Been watching your channel all through law school and has been the thing that got me through as I can't work on cars anymore. You're a legend mate! Look forward to another 3 years!

I remember watching your first videos. I remember when you took your girlfriend car shopping, with your Mom and Dad. I remember because I was laying in a hospital bed recovering from an amputation of my left leg. I was just getting into TH-cam and you put a huge smile on my face, when a smile, at the time was pretty hard to come by. I was building a 67 El Camino drag car at the time, so our common intrest kept me watching. I have been a regular at your site, since I have had 17+ ensuing surgeries. As time, and all my funds blew past me, I sold everything near and dear to me to keep up with my medical bills. I had to sell the car's engine to pay bills, which broke my heart since I built it myself. I sold everything but my 1/2 finished Elco. I see, in you, the love for racing. I see me, in you when you are racing Leroy, especially. I want you to know, you have helped keep my dream alive, that someday soon, I will be on the track again, doing it...for Cleetus...and Holley (I love that sweet dog).

@@allanpolk2681 Thank you Allan. It is hard. I have never given up. I work as much as I can(I am currently studying CAD/CAM), but it seems no matter how hard I try I end up on the operating table. I think what makes all this extra difficult is that my younger years I was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and lifted weights very regularly (even between operations). As a matter of fact, I worked my way through college as a Hollywood stuntman. I worked even after I lost my leg. I was nominated by the Academy of Motion Pictures for "Most Spectacular Sequence in Film." I was extremely charitable and helped some very big stars get the start. Did it come back around? No. But, to no avail with a total of 39 surgeries, two helicopter crashes, a chemotherapy overdose and chronic pain... I think I am cursed. I raced shifterkarts with one leg and one season won every race I entered except one and won two national events. Still, I lost everything(except my beloved El Camino). Right now, my heart aches.

Two things: I’m a college professor and I can tell you that I’d much rather have students that really want to be there and see it as helping them achieve their goals. So good for you for leaving school to work towards your goals. Second, you don’t have to feel obligated to share your personal life with the public. Taking care of your relationships and family is so important. I think it is noble to shield your girlfriend from the wack jobs that lurk on here. It’s totally cool to compartmentalize your life, especially if that protects those you love. Good luck man. We appreciate your hard work.

Idea: neighbor gets “stolen” prior to some neighbor-focused scene at FF and y’all hear it in the distance and follow the noise to the track.. neighbor is being absolutely flogged drifting the figure eight.. when the tires finally blow, the driver emerges (queen/princess/duchess mcfarland) triumphantly.. cleeter acts like he doesn’t know who she is but makes some kind of epic comment like “brothers, I don’t know who that thief is but she done stole my heart more than neighbor” and then a relevant segue into the formal introduction. We’re all certain that she’s an amazing person, considering your drive and work ethic... and she may or may not have drift chops.. but that’s something a person can learn, especially if she wins over your audience (even if it is somewhat contrived) because an epic introduction of an epic significant other is kind of how at least I feel it could be done.. we know she’s at least your equal, possibly greater.. and somebody that special deserves a special introduction, you know?
