Simple Domain is really useful on lower levels when you're not really strong if you get caught in Gojo's and especially Sukuna's Domain expansion because of it's range. In the first case it doesn't obstruct your vision and you can actually do something, and in the second case the slashes don't touch you. It does leave you stuck in one place, but doesn't consume cursed energy.
