For locating her, when you hear the theme music of Maretta, sail around until you see blue wisps on the ocean surface, they spawn and then move towards Maretta, serving as an indication as to where she is, going past this line is where Maretta will aggro on you about halfway between her and the blue wisp lights that make up a perimeter around her.

Galleas with +10 green gear is fine. That is what I have and I've killed her 5 times so far. Great video and thank you for posting it for everyone.

Thanks for the info. I have some blue gear on my Galleas (not cannons) but I only saw videos of her being done with a Carrack. How long does it take you?

So.. on the map you got in the video, are the red circles the confirmed spawns.. or every mermaid image except the crossed ones?

Took it down solo with an Epheria Galleass that had half the stats of that ship shown in the video. You WILL need to be a minimum of Professional 1 rank in sailing if you want to manuever around the tornados with ease. Also make sure you're wearing actual armor and not lifeskills armor because those tornados sometimes desync you and toss you from your ship where the boss would finish you off pretty easily. It's worth farming for the Sailing Mastery artifact and also the Siren's Song title.

Nice guide. I would add that Moss-covered Map pieces are also dropped by her. As someone who is hoping to be one of the lucky players of sea content to eventually get a Nol, it gets tiresome killing hundreds of crocs to occasionally get a map piece to drop.
I've killed HM nearly a dozen times now, and it seems (so far) that she drops a map piece about every 3 kills or so (and my last one turned out to be a full Treasure Map of a Sailor on cleaning 😀) . . . a much more enjoyable process for me than grinding crocs.

I haven't had half as much luck with moss covered maps from crocs as I got from margoria ghost pirate fleet.
I killed 30 crocs and saw no map pieces, then did 6 fleet spawns and got 3
Obviously that's not a great sample but it might help you a bit.

Just shoot the shield until depleted. (specially if not fully blue gear +10 yet)

There is only one Maretta per server

no maretta's spawn timer will only start counting down once it dies on that server so once you kill her she will respawn one hour later

I kiled 3 of it just by my valento with just green gear +10. It is not a difficult bosses.
