I think it was planned since it was for TV show, but they didn't rehearse. I watched the whole program. Fantasia and Yolanda were both there doing tribute performance for Patti. Patti came late and wasn't in the room when Fantasia sang "Lady Marmalade" to open the show. JenHud and Latifah were there to receive the award, just like Patti. It was supposed to be only Fantasia, Patti, and Yolanda to sing it as the finale, but Jen and Latifah chose to join the stage as well.
