Assuming you are aware of the storage compartment under drivers seat.

Not in ALL models ... Mine has Electrical modules (one for the Trans, other for Transfer case in my WK2) .... And the Passenger side has the 2 batteries under it ...

Hey .... Glad to have found your channel ... I'm presently building out my 2016 Jeep grand Cherokee Limited for SUV camping .... I decided on a D-Hive SUV air mattress (instead of the solid foam ones, for more flexibility), but I basically am gonna build a 7" high platform Bed side only, And use the other space for my 2 gear bins and my fridge/freezer that i just bought, ... i still need to purchase a solar power supply & 200w Solar panel .... Should be good to go by mid May .... My take a few more tips from you (like the Thule cargo roof box 👌👍 .... "Thank you" for posting these vids !! I subbed the channel .

you can also remove the rear seat behind the drivers seat. The jeep grand cherokee rear seats come in two parts. You can remove it and increase storage space and keep the weight down. FYI

Your passenger seat folds down like that. How? I got a 2017 trailhawk. Special seat or did they finally copy what the jeep Cherokee has in newer models?

It came like that, factory seats. My 2014 Grand Cherokee did that and so does the 2019 Grand Cherokee I have now.

If you have the Limited or above pkg with 8 position Electric seats, then you cannot fold the seatbacks flat .... (ONLY on the models with Manual seat adjustments ...)

Do you still use those Roadie door tents? I was wondering what the longevity of those things are

I still have them, yes. I don't use them all the time. Mine are still in great condition.

Do you lock the car at night when you’re sleeping in it? If so, how? My 2014 Jeep gc is a key fob only and I wondered how I would lock it while inside. And if it would stay locked if someone came to open the door while the key was inside.

Yes, I lock the doors (whether I'm in the car or not). The car can detect where the fob is. If it's inside the car with you, it doesn't allow the doors to be opened from the outside. It's the same when you're driving. If the doors are locked and someone comes up and tries to open them they won't open from the outside until you unlock them.
If you want to test it, you can roll the windows down, lock the doors, and place the fob inside on the seat. Then try to open the doors from the outside - they won't open.
When I lock it at night, I don't even use the fob. I just press the door lock button that's on the door (driver or passenger door, doesn't matter).

@@bizurkur I will try that, thank you so much! That makes me feel safer about my car camping. I have been locking it from the inside like you said, i just didn't know if it was actually doing anything :P
