........yessssssssss, I've been searching for HOURS, I was just about to hang myself screaming to the sky "THERE JUST ISN'T GOOD MUSIC, WHERE IS IT!!!!!!!!!!"
Real chill man, this is slow cruising at night sort of music. I wouldn't worry about the quality of the recording, I think it sounds great. Its got character and the bass comes through really nice on a proper set of monitors.
Very smooth, sultry, and exotic with a dash of mystery that allows a rush of stimulation through the ears and soul. Very well done. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. I'm working on several tracks with similar concept. I don't upload unfinished stuff on youtube, but I'm doing things. just not so fast. Therewith, most people don't respect music nowadays. They don't even download it, just play on TH-cam when they want. I've raised 15$ with this track in 2 years! It's not about money - I've spent thousands on gear and continue. Just don't really feel big difference between releasing music and just working on it month after month, enjoying the process
I downloaded this last year and still get entranced by it every time it crops up in my playlist. Been listening to a lot of Bohren etc in that time too, but I really hope you put out an album cos there's a certain quality to this that just isn't there in other darkjazz stuff.
Damn...I thought I was lost on highway while I listened to this music ;) I really can hear the Mr Lynch touch behind your stuff! Really good job guys!! Thanx for posting
Hi! Thanx. Tastes differ, you know.. I personally like Bohren und der Club of Gore "Black Earth" album, Wibutee "Newborn thing" album, Miles Davis "Ascenseur pour l'echafaud" (OST), Angelo Badalamenti stuff, Julie Cruise first 2 albums (the same Badalamenti and David Lynch here), some songs of Morphine ("You look like rain", etc..) hmm.. Chrysta Bell is great in "Swing with me" and "Friday night fly".. a lot of old jazz like Artie Shaw "Nightmare" - you just should dig it.. hope this helps.
Yes, you're right. Even more, not just sax but the whole track is an ad-lib. I believe that is the power of jazz, skilled musician playing impovisations makes music unpredictable and sincerely angular. Not that I am or my friend is a skilled musician, lol )) Just explaining the idea..
@vBlogmiscarrage Thanx for the comment. I never use software, I'm an oldschool man :) In this track you can hear AKAI mpc60, s1100, old fretless Herrnsdorf bass, cheapo guitar, real sax - everything mixed in Mackie cr1604 (the first one) with a "secret weapon" reverb sitting in AUX send.
thanks the song is great, btw for people who seem to be new into this jazz noir style: dig more, there is a whole new wave of bands who play dark jazz, doom jazz, jazz noir whatever...
(I'm the same as AnUntitledStory who posted 3 years ago); Man, this track is haunting. Maybe it's because I've associated it with haunting stories myself--I played this song on repeat while reading creepypastas long ago, but currently I'm playing it on repeat while reading House of Leaves. Seriously, this song is terrifying, it's amazing.
yeah man, maybe. I don't reply each comment. I didn't hear these lyrics over my music. That's it. It's just obvious and predictable - dark music with words about crime. It's just a part of an image, not the main. you know. when you make a movie with murder and action - it's not real thriller, it's an action movie. But when you focus on context and reasons- you get real slow suspense and real thriller, like Hitchcock. And you get drama. My music is drama. It's not hiphop, it's triphop and jazz.
@SonnieGrey Thanks for taking a listen. Nowhere did I claim that my track was noir aesthetics. You must have me misunderstood. I was simply making a word play when i noticed your video said "Aesthetics" and my artist name happens to have "Aesthete" in it. Thats all man. No need to hate. Sorry you feel that way about sharing sounds. I didn't think it was such an inconvenience to you to post a simple line of text to share these sounds. Hope to learn to enjoy
@Dakoo89 Thanx! I tried to keep things as simple as possible)) I can't name any artists with such style of sax, I'd be glad to hear some myself... but if you're into any kind of cold minimalism, check Bohren und der Club of Gore project, their sax sounds very impressive. Also some tracks from Wibutee's first album which are more into noisy nu-jazz though.
it's 11 pm on a friday night, i sit at the computer that previously held millions of pictures of cats when i suddenly came across it. that soundtrack. the kind you only hear about, rather than about to hear. It was a... wuh? sorry, got caught in the moment
Hi! Yes, you can use it for free, if the movie is NOT commercial project, it does not contain any sharp political, religious or social subjects. Please, send me a link if you decide to use the song. Good luck, Sonnie.
Outstanding job my friend!! I was wondering if I could use this song in my film noir movie that is currently in production? I just graduated college and I've already made five feature length films so far. I would like to enter my film into a few film festivals but I really need a strong theme song for the whole entire movie and after searching for so long I've finally found what I've been looking for. I just wanted to ask for your permission first to be able to incorporate your song into myfilm
Hi! Thank you for the kind words. I'm not even a nail on a little finger of Miles Davis, he's the real discoverer, and I'm just an ordinary 25 y/o guy))) But thank you anyway, it really made my day. I'm gonna upload a short cut soon, kind of an intro for my forthcoming (more or less) album. Kind regards,
@TheSadau Sorry, nowhere yet. This is a very raw track made at home. I hope someday I will make an album, but it's too expensive for me now. Subscribe if you like it!
was flicking through TH-cam to find some music to use as inspiration for writing my film ideas.... and this one blew me away , particularly since the pace would suit a slow dark and gritty noir short film i have planned... would it be possible to use this in my end product, of course I would give you full credit for the song and a mention in the credits with a link etc?
this is so dope....... so deep, so warm..... gotta fall into this vibing
visionary dark raw elegant style.......
