So sad to hear of Godfrey GAO s death. Condolences to the family. Didn't know that he had passed away two years ago. It's just heart breaking. Just completed watching the drama " Remembering Li Chuan ". That drama has been the best dramas I have watched in a very long time. To the GAO family "Thank you" for sharing a very talented actor, and very handsome gentleman. God bless and keep you all safe and healthy during this holiday and forever.

I even cried with this drama series and just learned that he passed away..so sad.
I just knew him now, I just accidentally saw his drama Remembering Li Chuan, and he died in this series and was about to search for him to know him more but he's dead already in real life. I did ask why? at his very young age and why him?

We also researched this recently. There are very many synchronicities between Remembering Lichuan and death of Godfrey Gao :
1. Remembering Lichuan was filmed already in 2012 and released only after 4 years in 2016 . 2. IN Remembering Lichuan girl is waiting for him for 4 years ...
3. In Remembering Lichuan he as actor had flu and then went to architecture meeting to present his plan . 4. In Nov 2019 he had flu and was then attending Chase me reality show on tv where he died . So many coincidences and no investigation ! Actors and models must become SOVEREIGN and not property of managers and agencies .

They really should have AED and nurse. The 5 minutes after the heart stop is really important. I heard that they did nothing before ambulance arrived. They missed the most important time to save this young man's life because they didn't employee nurse and prepare AED for such a high risk challenge which filmed during midnight!!! What a shame.

Forget about working 17 hours non stop, at one time I worked 8 hours non stop and I fainted afterward, thanks God I didn't collapse and I didn't die.
I work 12 hours per day. I faint many times. And I quit the job now. 😭😭 I feel I have no strength working long hours. 😭😭 I really miss GodfreyGao so much. 😭😭

Yes there’s other shows like chase me but they allow they contestants breaks in between filming, they don’t exert them for over 17 hours without any breaks/rest in between, idc how fit you are you can’t over exert the body/heart for over 17 hours, that would possibly send anyone into cardiac arrest, it’s just too much especially when doing things like running/jogging, if they don’t find any previous heart/health issues, then it’d be shame that a man still pretty young, pretty fit and healthy, with such a promising career ahead of him lost his life for a reality show that wasn’t even worth it and I definitely think they deserve some of the blame for thinking it’s okay to make someone film from 8:30am-2am when he dropped unconscious with no breaks/rest, it’s unacceptable when having your body be so physically exerted and let me tell you people in the industry will say anything to make themselves look good and save their own butt when it comes to something like this where they could possibly be to blame, even if they were at fault, do you honestly expect them to release a statement taking responsibility for it, I mean get real, they’re gonna look out for themselves knowing people are angry with them and piecing together all the previous complaints against them from previous contestants, so you can say everything others say are rumors even though some of these came from people who were there during the filming and witnessed what happened with their own two eyes, so I believe not all the rumors are false and not everything chase me say is true but clearly y’all just take their word for what happened over other people when they could very much so be lying as well to protect themselves as I said, but I’ll just say “allegedly” to all this since we don’t really know what’s actually factual yet but I don’t believe chase me, anyway regardless of what’s true or not, I feel so heartbroken for gao cause this shouldn’t have happened, farewell godfrey gao 😞
This is so true because i followed the news since the very beginning. The moment godfrey was rushed to the hospital because apparently he ‘passed out’, was spread by his own fanbase and the audience that present during the filming. Which soon confirmed by the producer, the officials and etc. Those people were also the ones saying Godfrey had been filming for 17 hours with no break, and included jogging/running. Zhejiang TV had been deleting english comments from their social medias (even TH-cam!) in order for this matter not to be widely spread to the world. More known as saving their own ass. Zhejiang TV had release two official statement about Godfrey’s passing, because the first one was sooooo insincere and practically a copy paste of all their released official statements. That two examples alone pretty much shows us how they handled the situation poorly. We can’t trust everything Zhejiang TV and the Chase Me production staffs were saying. Godfrey Gao deserves more than a twisted and false informations! He and his fans deserve their justice! Rest in peace Godfrey😣

Agree with you. According to Jan, Godfrey's manager was one of the first to come out and refute rumours that help came too late. Well, any seasoned manager would take that position - his/her client has just passed away but the manager still has to do business in future for his/her future clients and other clients and the last thing the manager wants to do is to get blacklisted by the TV station, producers and other movers and shakers in the industry for siding with his/her client and in the process putting the TV stations and industry bigwigs on the backfoot - celebrity managers all know which side their bread is buttered or they will never eat lunch in the entertainment industry again.
Somebody just died while performing on a show. Unless that person was responsible for his own death, which clearly not, he didn’t commit suicide, someone or company has to be held accountable. It’s a criminal or homicide case under negligence.

Lady the responsibility of the game show managers were clear they have to take care of all their players regardless. Which means they have to be prepared for any eventuality of an emergency. While it is true that these actors were treated better and worked less hours than the others...the fact remains that a contestant DIED while in their care. They can no longer give his life back.
Godfrey'and JIAO Jun Yan were married in Vancouver Canada on 2016 but unfortunately his family don't accept his marriage until now so we need to pray and have faith God enlightens their hearts and minds and accept his real wife JJ and 2 little Precious grandkids and all the fans around the world be happy and Godfrey GAO be happy too in heaven 😂🙂💔 God bless his humble and wonderful family forever. A lot of people are speculating that he had an underlying heart condition, which is completely valid. Even though he's a model who's in great shape, one's appearance doesn't determine how healthy he is. Don't be fooled by the six pack abs you see on the cover of GQ or men's magazine. There's a difference between aesthetics and health. Godfrey hasn't been training his body in months. When you stop exercising (cardio and weight-bearing activities) on a daily basis, your heart weakens. Don't forget, your heart is also a cardiac muscle that needs to be strengthened via aerobic activities for a minimum of 45 minutes daily. Weight-bearing exercise only strengthens your skeletal muscles. True athletes have a resting heart rate of 55 beats per minute or lower.
On the day that he collapsed, he already had a viral infection. He was on the set filming this reality show for at least 12 hours or more, which is detrimental to his physical and mental well-being. When you're sick, it will adversely affect your physical performance. The physical activities in this reality show were too strenuous for him. Plus, no one knows what he ate for lunch/dinner, and whether he consumed any beverages/energy drinks which can greatly exacerbate his condition. With regard to negligence, no one really knows unless you were on the set with him as a witness. In public establishments, an AED and first aid kit should be available at all times. Was there a team of medical professionals on set? Did they administer CPR and used the AED on Godfrey within 1-2 minutes after he collapsed? These are important questions that we won't have an answer to unless all of us were physically present.
Midnight Daemon I beg to disagree. If he had heart problem, he wouldn’t have risked his health by joining in a very physical endeavor and he wouldn’t have been qualified to be a contestant. He must be sick while filming though and he thought it wasn’t that serious. I’m so deeply sad still about this, 2 months after the tragedy.

Sad GG died on sets. Failure of MRT to come to his aid resulted in his untimely death. The production team should be responsible this would never happen in Canada in 2-3 seconds the Paramedics would be there to save him. He was a victim at young age soon to go. Shame they could not perform CPR to revive him. It's not acceptable. All fans all over the world lost a upcoming brilliant, handsome actor none to match in acting industry GG. RIP

Beforehand he & his manager should have inspected the site to ensure that everything was there: the medical response team ,an ambulance etc. to see that in case something happens there were experts who would applyfirst aid & it was just a shooting ...he himself shd. have stopped when he felt that he couldn' t do it any longer...we only live once.
