  • This recording is dated 7/12/83. There are no titles I would think I recorded the programme for the Monopoly and Crossword items. But the credits are intact. I was 26 when it was shown and I remember wishing programmes such as this should have been around 20 years earlier.

Greatest opening 5 seconds to any video in the history of the internet.

I'd completely forgotten about this programme until I heard the theme tune but I used to love it.

Fascinating to have this glimpse of the first series of this fondly remembered series. Jeremy Beadle actually made an engaging presenter for this show, a follow up I think to a series he headed up about the history of confidence tricks called "The Deceivers" - which had the same format and many of the same ensemble cast. And I do have memories of Pascal King twirling in one of the first bikinis in the closing credits. Thanks for sharing. :)

This must have been the pilot for ITV2's Banged Up With Beadle.
The basic format was obviously there from the start. Begin with a technical problem and then show Beadle in gaol. The ITV2 version went all in on the technical problem element, sometimes having several in one episode.

@@bdavebaldwin 😂😂 His children’s tv series called The Album. Eureka was the follow up to The Deceivers. I’d love to see all of these series again. Shortly after this Beadle went to LWT to make Game For A Laugh.

@@cylon6 There is very little regarding "The Album" on the internet. The theme was on TV Cream for a while, but no longer. Funny there should be so little.
