Jazzy, you're one of a kind. I love the moves. The dancing is so fluid and fits such a great period in time. When I see this I think of my grandfathers, who were both actively involved in in Chicago during the roaring 20's. One was a legit beer distributor and one was a Chicago cop. When I asked my father about what happened during prohibition, he told me he never asked his father questions. My wife's family was in the liquor business as well, so we've both heard some really great stories right from our fathers who both worked for their fathers when the were younger high school aged kids. Ain’t she, though. It is odd; when I see these videos I see skilled dancing, yes, but more. The moves seem effortless, as though anyone can do them ( but, no). This making it look sooo easy, makes it seem more than a dancer - it seems to be the spirit of the dance, taking the form of a woman. Greeks called her Terpsichore.
What I notice about it is that there is a lot of eroticism in these dances. You know, often when people do them the whole thing seems kind of dorky. Leaves you wondering how could such dances have been considered scandalous. But seeing the way you dance, oh yeah, I can easily imagine people in nightclubs drunk or high on cocaine or weed and taking these dances in a very...seductive direction. The hips swinging, the thigh slapping, the shaking of the whole frame. hahaha. I am not saying that that is what YOU are trying to stress, but what you are doing is really dancing these styles of dance and when you do that...the sensual/sexual overtones are evident. :) Bravo.
