I think two phase locking is an implementation of pessimistic locking , and pessimistic locking is just a concept or theory . Maybe I am wrong, I am not sure
Yes 2PL is used to implement pessimistic locking, I think for the second part of your comment you meant optimistic lock and its not quiet that theortical but rather a concurrency control technique, imo its association with "lock" is misleading

I think there's some confusion. In CAP and ACID, 'consistency' has different meanings. You were explaining ACID's consistency using CAP's definition.
