◆Weave a Tale by Expressing Words in Art
An experimental stage performance that transforms the works of Muramasu Katsuyuki, who draws pictures based on associations from words, into sounds, drums, and dance.
Transforming wordplay into visual artwork is the province of illustrator and concept creator Muramasu Katsuyuki, who will be joined by an elite gathering of creators and performers. The list includes the Wadaiko (Japanese drum) performer and composer Shinsuke Ikewaki renowned for his creative approach and cross-genre performances, the culturally erudite and canny composers of Numajazz PROJECT lead by bassist and psychologist Takuya Onuma with their infectious compositions, the Cuban/Latin musical and dance expert SHOKO with her traditional communication and casino dance, and the GERENTE PROJECT with its artistic goal of making the Japanese wind, or culture, go overseas with their performances permeated with the culture, scenery, and history of Kyushu and Fukuoka.
[time] is the stage upon which these artists will weave their tale of words, music, and imagery. During this ‘time’ you will be able to witness a production of words, beats, sounds, and place that straddles the line between the everyday and extraordinary.
言葉遊びを可視化するイラストレーター/コンセプターの［ムラマスカツユキ］、和太鼓作曲・演出から多種多様なジャンルの音楽とのコラボ演奏まで手掛ける和太鼓表現師の［池脇晋輔］、心理学者兼ベーシストの大沼卓也率いる楽曲に歌われた人の心のありさまに思いを馳せる文学的ジャズバンド［Numajazz PROJECT］、ラテン文化と日本文化の融合を理念にキューバの伝統的コミュニケーションダンス・カシーノの追求と普及を行う［SHOKO］、日風越海をコンセプトに日本や九州/福岡の文化・景観・歴史などを様々なパフォーマンスを通して海外に発信する［GERENTE PROJECT]。
言葉を表現するアーティスト集団によって紡がれる、一夜限りの挑戦的舞台。

［Jazz］numajazz Project
Formed in 2022 by Takuya Onuma, a psychologist and part-time bassist. A literary jazz band that focuses on modern arrangements of old songs that have been sung for nearly 100 years, and that makes you think about the state of the human heart that is sung in the songs. The group is made up of young musicians including vocalist Kagetsu Sugawara, who has a 15-year music career and is known for his mellow and warm singing voice, and drummer Takahiro Higashi, who is busy traveling around Kyushu with his own leader projects and support performances.

A Japanese drum player who is active all over Japan as a Japanese drum composer, director, and lecturer. He is also active in collaborative performances with a wide variety of music genres such as jazz, rock, and orchestra. Katsuyuki Muramasu is a Japanese illustrator, born in Karatsu city, Saga prefecture, Japan on November 15th 1988. He is known for his style “Visualization of Wordplay“, He has been actively involved in music since his school days. After graduating from high school, he went on to a musical technical college in Fukuoka.He then continued his activities as a musician, but in the pursuit of expression and fun, he came across painting and developed his current style.Through his works, he faces himself from a new angle and acts as a conceptor who finds "love" in the world.
［Dance］SHOKO
Realizing that the fusion of Latin culture, which is good at communication, and Japanese culture, which values ​​civility and etiquette, has the potential to make a huge social contribution, she founded the dance studio "Familia del Casino" in 2014.
Guest performance appearance at the closing ceremony of the 2019 Cuba International Music Festival. It will be the grand finale, which is an important part of the music festival. Appeared on a Cuban TV show.

Disseminating the culture, landscape, and history of Japan/Kyushu to the world through various performances. In 2020, it was selected as a support work for Fukuoka City cultural entertainment activities. Obtained FUKUOKA STREET LIVE license in the same year.
