2024 American Eventing Championships (AEC) Starter cross country with Rye

Rye (JC: Brooklawn) is a 2020 16.3 thoroughbred gelding. He is my 2024 RRP mount and came off the track in June/July of 2023. We have been dabbling in eventing and hunter/jumpers leading up to thr thoroughbred makeover.
Rye qualified for the 2024 AEC (American Eventing Championships) held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky from August 28th - September 1st.
At only 4 year's old, this was only Rye's 5th event ever. He tackled the horse park, cruised around cross country and entered the Rolex Arena without a second thought. We ended with a 35.2, were reserve high point TIP for the Open Starter level and ended 13th overall.
Thanks to Horse & Country, here is a quick clip of every one of our cross country fences. The course rode beautifully, and Rye really settled after the first two fences. I rode a little more aggressively than I needed, but the atmosphere at KHP was exciting! There are a few speed bumps, but overall I was extremely pleased with how he did.
