Barcelona won their first European Cup in 1992 when they overcame Sampdoria at Wembley. They then returned to Wembley in 2011 and won the Champions League when they defeated Manchester United. Pep Guardiola was involved in both games, first as a player in 1992 and then a manager in 2011.

Will Pep win the Champions League with Man City?
*Bayern:"Allow me to introduce myself"*
@Subscribe To Me For Good Luck Just shut up
@Slipstreamz stfu
@Subscribe To Me For Good Luck cry
@Down 4 why would I be salty I'm a chelsea fan my teams in the champions league idiot city would better arsenal I'd they had the best players u arsenal fans are always getting cocky
Sky Sports feels bad about Barcelona so they posted this.
Nah, they knew Lyon would show up to the party
Nah they rubbed it in setiens face to make barca feel bad
Back when barca were a scary team to watch
Subscribe To Me For Good Luck they won a treble in 2015, think they were pretty scary then too... 😅
Did you not see their game v Bayern they are still scary 🤡
@Subscribe To Me For Good Luck so who won the CL in 2015??
@Subscribe To Me For Good Luck you mean 2015
@Subscribe To Me For Good Luck did you get kidnapped by aliens in 2015?
Prime Barca. When they were at their best they were unstoppable but now they are becoming quite average. Quite sad to see
Deontay till this day Wilder
Nah mate they started becoming crap after 2017
“Quite average” is an understatement, they are utter shit
Add a couple more quite's in there why don't you
Less than average
mate even average bundesliga team doesnt get thrashed 8-2 by bayern
The best team and the best football I’ve ever seen. I’ll tell my children about the Guardiola era at Barca.
Guardiola's playing career or coaching career? both of em were solid
During that Era they arguably were the best team in history
Back when Manchester United and Barcelona are top of Europe. 28th may 2011 was a sad day for me. Our last champions league final
But now you can tell it was a good day
This was one of the best team Ive seen in my life hands down
Who would have guessed 9 years on he still wouldn’t have won another Champions League
Barca won the UCL in 14/15
@@goblinh5417 he wasn't their coach back then. What's your point?
Tushar Vishwanath he's a goblin
He got carried
For any managers it is very much difficult to win it once. For him to do it twice it is already sensational accolade.
Hey pep, here from the future.pass, pass, pass doesn't work against Lyon 2020
eoe123321 same with his arch enemy Mourinho... seems like they’re both losing the plot
@@hashim2868 Mourinho ain't finished, not yet.
It does work. Just don't play sterling and jesus
eoe123321 😂😂🤣
@@okboomer8798 You really think his style of football will get him success lmao. Look at the top teams (CL and league title winners) for past ten yrs all attacking fast paced teams. Last time Mourinho was on top and ParkTheBus FC worked was 2010 treble with Inter. Times changed move on will ya man...
Watching Barca vs Bayern in 2020 will give me nightmares from now on.
I am so happy i witnessed every game during the Guardiola years in Barcelona. In the first year when Pep took charge i was saying that this team was playing extraordiary. They were making overlapping runs, playing free flowing football and scoring multiple goals a game. The English media werent paying attention to what was going on at Barca and favored the English teams over them in the Champions League. They didn't get their recognition until they finally put the sword to Manchester United in Rome. They thought because Uniteds players were bigger and stronger that Barca wouldnt be able to compete. They also didn't realize how good Messi was and considered Cristiano the best player. I knew that Messi was the best player because i watched him week in and week out and saw how special that kid was. That game completely changed the perspective of the English pundits. By the time of the 2011 CL final they knew that Barca were THE team to beat. This game was the culmination of Guardiola's Barca
You spoke my words. It's indescribable the way they played this game. You will never see a team like that in your lifetime. At that era, they pitted us against English football. And we've come out victorious on the most important stages. It was satisfying to watch and a feeling I'll never forget.
Haha Sky Sports is so cheeky. Posted this when Barca and Pep both got knocked out.
I think it gives greater meaning to the word 'retro'.
This was when Barcelona was unstoppable and dominated the whole Europe. What has happened to Barcelona in 2020 ? 😔😔😔 There should be some change before Barcelona will turn into AC Milan. Either Xavi or Pep should return, Bartomeu must resign, and there should be a big change in the squad.
Ac Milan is going to come back to full strength as it was in the 2000s, so stop comparing it to them
X-ray Dragon but are they the 2000 squad? No
The whole team should have a revamp
Of course but ac Milan and Barca are in very different situations, Barca have had a bad season, Milan have declined slowly for many years
X-ray Dragon no, Barca haven’t had a bad season. They had a terrible three years. Whereas ac Milan declined a lot since 10/11 season but it’s just now that they’re becoming strong
Ever since 2017 it’s all gone downhill for Barca and it hurts to say it 😞
Best team I've ever watched. No doubt 💯
Whos here after pep winning it with city
Modesty of this man is amazing.. Many coaches should take him as an example... (especially the "arrogant ones")
@Atomic Ambition yes his “AMAZING” achievements with Manchester United and Tottenham also speaks volumes about him…
I wasn't frustrated with this at the time cuz they were unstoppable with Messi xavi iniesta etc
Watching this game I was surprised we were 1-1 at half time. I enjoyed watching Barca but even though they ran away with it second half, I am still proud of United.
I'm a RM fan and I want Pep back at Barca. There can't be a truly great RM without a truly great Barca to challenge each other.
he'll prob leave city after the lyon game honestly
I 8-2 to say but they aren’t like this anymore
Valdes Puyol Alves Abidal Xavi Busquets Iniesta Villa and Messi. What a team this was. 👌👌
Missing pedro
Atleast Guardiola actually created the best team ever and didn't settle for an easy life, he took on more challenges at other places. Would have been very easy for him to stay at Barcelona. Only he can say whether he regrets leaving that team. I personally think it's time for Guardiola to return to Barcelona and fix this zoo. Barcelona are not Arsenal, we shouldn't be conceding 6-8 goals against top opposition.
Sky sports retro admin just killed 2 birds with 1 stone 😂
When he was happy
This team was the best in the world and still would be now.
What a team. At that time united were a special team but barca was just that bit more specifical any other area united would of won the champions league 3 years on the trot. Was just unlucky for united that this barca team was of that era
As a citizen i am still waiting for an interview after winning ucl with man city (and it looks like i will be waiting for eternity)
I imagine Messi will come to Manchester City to join Guardiola, and together they will win CL next season.
With Messi City will lose like 11-2 or something
Vivek Singh why do you say that? Because he will disrupt the group dynamics of the team?
Pep this pep that. The fact of the matter is that a great coach is of course needed to achieve great things, but tactics are only as good as the players. This team had world class talents like Pique, Villa and Busquets playing at their prime. And all time great players in football history in Xavi, Iniesta, Dani Alves and ofc Messi.
this didn’t age well
Guardiola 😍
Here just after pep and Barca have been knocked out just not at the same team
We are so so happy
that’s the last CL trophy he’ll be getting his hands on 👍🏾
Imagine if youre wrong and in the future he gets another on...
@@Random22176 uh ohhhhh
@@ashleyclark6749 nah he still failed ..
Pep says Hi!
Whos the clown now
*More than you believe*
Back when Barca would have given Freddie Krueger nightmares 🙄⚽️
If you didn’t know better you would have thought that Pep just lost a Champions league final. He really doesn’t seem that happy to me in that interview tbh.
In 2020 we learned to that it was all about the exceptional players they had. Not tikiktaka Not any ball philosophy
Nobody tops this team
I wish he would come back
Good old days 🥺
Magnanimous in victory
Now he win champions league with man city 💙
good old days.
That was a great Barcelona team in 2011.
Well, they aren't making it to the final this time
Please Ima barca fan I would really 8-2 see any comments about last night 😔
Sir Bobby Robson would have been proud.
Be it then or now, win or lose, Pep always gets asked this question - Will you be the manager next season?
Meanwhile against Lyon in 2020 😅🙄
The best barca what has happened to this incredible team
Back when corners weren't taken quickly and they never 8-2 much.
The funny thing is, Guardiola would have never lost against Liverpool or that Bayern
Best ever team I've seen but now we are just old and slow
Lyon champions league winner 2020
Have you been drinking?
still need lionel messi to win the CL
I feel that in 2020 , I would " 8-2" be a barca fan . 😆😆😆😆😅
Do the Something Missing Advert for Sky+HD which the man utd players are missing from a champions league game between arsenal v man utd in 2009 original was uploaded by GoldenSquare but It got a copyright claim from UEFA the original video was uploaded from someday in 2011
His English is better here than it is now
Who's here after he lost to Real Madrid 3-1
🥱
Now he won a treble again
4-0
😂😂😂 never had so much fun like watching Bayern humiliating barcelona last night. Barcelona “old boys” to be exact. I hate them more than PSG
Rugby Bull damn
Damm that's a sad life.
You have 6 crybabies along you... 😂😂😂
2016 ---> 2020 *Barca falling apart*
Xavi, inesta, Messi, Buscuetts.
From this to 8-2🤣
He won't be winning it this year I can feel it
Was Pep so so happy?
Well now they're in the Europa League
Utd had a shit team out that night. Luis Valencia. Rafael. Chicarito. Ji Sung Park. Pure 2nd/3rd rate players
Fergie still got to the finals with that shit team lol
@@pysky4u They had a very easy path to the final that year. Schalke in the semifinal were terrible.
@philip ocharo They were terrible that night against Man Utd. Could have lost 5-0 at home.
And pep hasn't won this competition since
Honestly maybe it's best for Pep to come back to Barcelona 🤷🏽♂️
Man Utd were in 3 finals in about 5 years and Barcelona made them look like nothing 2 of them finals
3 in 4 seasons.
2009 was 50/50 it was only this one that was a comprehensive defeat.
Messi destroyed Ronaldo
Ronaldo didn’t play in this final you idiot
Stupid
Sky pseudo-trolling Pep again after City bottled it in Europe again
I think pep will struggle winning the champions league if he leaves barca.
BOLD
People saying sky sports feeling bad for barca, I think they feeling bad for man City! Stupid noisy neighbours who think money buys happiness
Next season messi to city or pep to barcelona
Highly possible
2023 👀
Admin is clearly a Barca supporter trying to divert attention
Yes of course they’re trying to divert attention from Barcelona to Barcelona
Rival fans when City lose: ahahahah he cant even win despite 1b in transfers
Rival fans when city win:
GRRRRR HE ONLY WON BECAUSE OF 1B TRANSFERS
Make up your mind bozos.
Prime barcelona..
1-0 LYON
No Messi no party
aaaand never again
Might do it within a month's time now lmao
Pep needs his hair back to win UCL
No
And now City are losing 1-0 lmao
Hopefully Man City never EVER WIN IT....sorry Pepsi spend another billion and give it another go
Fluke of a manager
Seriously dude stop you’re scaring me
That scoreline was spot on, too
Who's here after fraudiola lost to lyon 3-1.He'll never win the ucl without messi ,xavi and iniesta carrying him
Champions league refs screwed city again, Lyon' s second goal should of been disallowed
Only thing I got from this video is that in his 4 years in England, Pep's english hasn't improved at all. His fluency is the same now as it was in 2011 lol
Give him Barca now & c if he can win th way he won. He just inherited a very gret team that others worked hard to grow. At other teams he has been a check book coach.
and what would that mean? Even Chuck Norris would be in trouble with the current Barcelona :D
FRAUDIOLAAA!!!!!
FINISHED MANAGER 💀💀
😭😭😭u dead?
His career has been all downhill ever since
Fraudiola misses out on yet another UCL semi-final wahey
YESSSSSSSSS LYON SMASH THIS SLAPHEAD
First
This fraud is still riding the co tails of this win almost ten years later. Incredible.
