Floating LNG terminal Exemplar in Inkoo

The Finnish government tasked Gasgrid Finland Oy to investigate the addition of a floating LNG terminal, or floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), as an alternative to Finland's gas imports. Renting the terminal ship enables Finland to break away from dependence on Russian pipeline gas. Securing security of supply in possible unpredictable and unpredictable situations is of paramount importance. A floating LNG terminal is the fastest solution to ensure Finland's security of supply and the continuity of gas supplies in all different scenarios. The vessel secures Finland's energy supply for both industry and households in the long term, and is therefore an important project for the whole of Finland. At the same time, the terminal would serve the needs of the Baltic Sea region more broadly.
