      BangtanfangirlOT7 My dad was a mentally ill drunk who loved his fucking religion more than me and my mother. It doesn't matter anymore because he died from throat cancer, anyway.
      What a father figure, eh?

    • @emmadupuy5331
      @emmadupuy5331 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      BangtanfangirlOT7 My point was that some dads are shitty people. I'm aware that most fathers are good people. My uncles, who are dads, are caring people and helped me and my mom after my dad passed away.
      But, you're right, I did express myself wrongly, so I apologize. I'm a bit of a grudgy person, I guess.

    I'm so used to videos of people talking shit about fathers. I do understand that there's a lot of people who don't have a good relationship with him, or don't even know him at all and I get how serious that is, I respect that. But I'm glad to see a video where we actually appreciate them, the ones who were lucky to know nothing but kindness and love from a father figure. My dad means the world to me. He is everything in my life and I love him, good parents deserve to be reminded that we love them ❤️

    I thought this video was sort of pointless because of its lack of diversity, diversity of opinion. This video is a fairy tale for most people, but-as far as I remember-the same applies to the video with the women talking about their mothers. The only thing I noticed that could be of interest was the boys tended to use the word _caring_ about the fathers, but as we went through the ages, they tended to use traditional male qualities such as _teacher_ and _protector_.

    • @mariolawpanda
      @mariolawpanda 9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      ***** I kinda agree, but then again, its not really impossible for all of them to have had a good experience with their fathers. For the women on mothers, there was one girl who said she didn't have a good relationship with her mom, which was refreshing to hear in the line up. So I thought at least one or two from this group would have something different to say as well.

    • @kalliste01
      @kalliste01 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      ***** Yeah, it was interesting that in the 'mother' one there were also some not as positive things said. I thought it was interesting that there were no absent fathers. Given that is a big stereotype. It's good to see but potentially not completely honest.

      Came down to the comments section to express my very thoughts on this!! While I understand that this was probably made in time for Fathers Day in the US and they wanted to portray fathers in a positive light, I would definitely have to agree with you. One word for my father is none, why? Because there is more than one word I would describe my father. He has been with my mother for 20 years & when he met her he fell in love instantly & he found out she already had 9 children from her ex husband, BUT that didn't stop him from loving her, so he accepted to care for her other 9 kids, then my brother, sister and I came along, so in total we're a family of 12 kids, my dad worked his butt off to support us all even though most kids didn't live with is, but he would send them money to live. Just 5 years ago he had an accident at his job and broke 3 disks on his back & ever since he has been able to work, he still tries all that he can to keep this family supported. My father has done so much for my and my family that I appriciate evey moment he has done. He's my Rock.

    my school is pretty rough and practically everyone is being raised by separated parents
    but then theres another school near ours, its a private school and every one there always comes out with the best gcse's because its obviously a good school
    practically all their parents are together
    if my dad didnt leave me then i couldve had a better education and career and future in general
    so i when someone says the word "father" the first thing that comes to me is that he should be responsible not come and go as he pleases
    this was written for you "dad"

    There isn't a single word mentioned here that I would use to describe my own "father". As such, I'm determined to ensure my own sons would speak of me in this way.

    I wish I could say the same. My father could be described with the same words such as caring and a protector but that was before he left and ruined my life by doing so.

    Wish I could say things like this about my parents.
    Like I'm happy these guys all had what I assume is a good relationship with their fathers.

    I don't understand all the comments about how there should be people in here with deadbeat fathers. As someone without a dad, I'm glad there's all this positive feedback. I don't wanna watch a depressing video about deadbeat dads. It warms my heart to know that their are good fathers out there. Because a lot of the time dads get the short end of the stick.
