    I watched so many reviews before buying the Wandrd 11L Lite bag (bought the yellow as well), and your review was the absolute best I could find and the reason I finally purchased the bag ~ thanks. I already have the 21L and was surprised to find that I could get more in the 11L Lite (honestly) than I could get in my 21L, I think the cube on the 21L takes up a good bit of room. Also,my 21L just made it under airline seat so it’s nice knowing that the Lite will easily fit. Well, thanks for the outstanding review, I’ll be traveling the world with my 11L Lite. Keep up the good work.

      Does it really fit more than the 21L? I was thinking of getting either a K&F Beta 20L or a PRVKE Lite but was nervous about the 11L not being enough, especially at that price point.

      @H4WKB13 hey man. I find my Prvke lite holds as much as my 21L peak design. In my my last trip i was able to fit my Sony A7iv with a 20-70 lens. 85mm. 11mm. Dji mini 3 with pro controller. My dji mics. Rode micro mic and my edc tomtoc edc tech pouch. Still had a bit if room in the roll top. Hope that helps you with your decision. Cheers!

    This is a great review and one of the few that made a lot of sense. I had given up trying with my 16" MacBook Pro but I tried once more shoving it in and it worked. It's a very snug fit but it can be done! My R6mkII was really hard to take out from the side access flap area, so I rearranged the inside where it stays at a little slant near the opening. Then when I want to access it from the side I pull the opening flap with my left hand slightly to take the camera out with 24-105 L attached!! It works and the camera comes out easily! I did not want to get the 21Ltr, it is 3" longer and I did not want the bigger length. For women the Lite is perfect. So I hope this helps those with Canon R5 or R6 I and II.

    Congrats for the great review! You talk about accessing the camera from the side access, but I would be more interested to quickly change lenses instead, as I would be using this mostly at events when I will already have the camera in my hand. Would it be possible to rearrange the dividers so I could have acces to maybe two lenses through the side access for quick swapping? I know there are better choices for this, like the PD Everyday, but this seem to fit my needs better in all the other ways. Appreciate it!

    • @MichaelNgvyen

      Hey Claudiu! Absolutely you can use the side access for lenses. I actually do it all the time when I am traveling. I also own the PD everyday, and have also worked many many events. So I can see why this could fit you better for events. You can use the clam shell to load in before and after the event. And side access for lenses during. It makes sense to me. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching. Hope to see you around the channel more. Cheers!

It looks like the perfect size'd bag for my gear (I have Fujifilm X-T3 + 35mm f/2, 50mm f/2, 16mm f/1.4 and the 75-300mm) so it should probably fit in that? Great review! I just purchased a 21 L but when I went to go put my 16 inch MacBook Pro in it it didn’t fit. I ended up buying the 31 L and returned the 21. I’m very happy with it, but I would certainly have preferred the smaller size. I wasn’t a huge fan of the standard camera, cube and dividers from wandrd so I bought a medium peak design, camera cube and it fits great.

      Thanks for the comment Marc!
      Yeah the newer 16 in MacBook pros are fat boys. My new 14 inch MacBook pro is also a tight fit even compared to my 2019 16inch which was thin though bigger. Yeah I think the built-in camera cube on the light is a little bit more like the peak design ones. Outside of the dividers. I’m super pumped for you that you found a set up that works. What I can say is with the accessory straps, and the material that the bag is made of it’s really built to last and super configurable. • @MichaelNgvyen

      Hey Alexii. Well yes sort of. The straps are connected to a layer between the zipper and strap and so the straps don’t have too much stress on the zipper itself. I can see your concern though. The roll top can hold a lot. • @MichaelNgvyen
      @MichaelNgvyen 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Tom! Firstly, thanks for watching the video! I do have a hack to get the tripod on the side. Not perfect but it does work when needed. You take the accessory strap. And instead of using both loops on the front of the bag. You bring the one side, all the way across and attach to the little loop in the bag. The same ones used to make it a table top. This does require you to have the one part of the main camera cube area slightly open. I use each zipper to keep it as tightly closed as possible . But it does keep the tripod tight to the bag. And secure at the top with the strap and feet inside the bottle pocket. Hope that makes sense. Appreciate your time leaving a comment!

    So - what’s the difference between V2 and V3 as there is no clarity on this online

    • @MichaelNgvyen
      @MichaelNgvyen ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Louis,
      So. if I'm not mistaken, some of the online shops in Europe are calling the Wandrd Lite V3 and the V2 refers to the 21L - 41L. So to answer your question.
      The v2 is the 21L, 31L 41L and the v3 is the 11L. The 3 main differences between them is, the 21L,31L 41L has key lash, a hidden passport pocket on the back padding area and the quick access door has a pocket on the under side.
      The lite version is missing those there things but I don't find it a problem at all. I'm still really enjoying the Lite very much. Hope that helps you..
      Thanks for watching and leaving your question. Cheers

      Yea those gimbals would fit in the roll top section. If you have the accessories straps you can slip it on to the front. The bottle pocket is also a ok spot in certain situations.

      No unfortunately the gimbal when folded flat the arms depth when its on it side is 15.5cm and the bag depth is 12.5cm. So thats why you would have to put it in the roll top section on its side the bag has enough width for that. The bag is 30cm wide. And the gimbal i think is about 27cm wide without the mini tripod attached

      The Lite is 16" long where as the 21 is 19" long. The flap side opening to take the camera out is a little smaller on the Lite than the 21ltr, but what I did was pull the flap a bit apart on the Lite to take my R6MKII out! If you have a Sony or smaller camera it is easier.

    Personally, I have a wish I had bought another bag (for the money). I’ve had the bag since it came out and I use it because I paid so much for it. But, I feel this is an inefficient bag in the use of space and functionality.

    • @MichaelNgvyen
      @MichaelNgvyen ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Stkuj. Thats is a totally fair opinion. Camera bags are definitely pricey no matter the brand and there is no perfect bag. I jump from this bag to my PD bag to the new Brevite bag all the time. However from doing so I have had great experiences with the Wandrd lite. I really push my roll top to the limit so I’ve been able to use it as a camera bag and personal overnighter travel back with no issues. But I understand everyone is different. I think thats why we all end up trying or buying so many bags. Hopefully the bag’s grows on you or you find something better. Would love to know if you do! Report back if find some else you love. Thanks for adding to the conversation and watching the video. Cheers!

    Great review; the only things that suck about this bag are two; it's about 1cm too narrow, 1) fitting a 16 inch M1 MacBook Pro from 2021 is really tight. That single extra centimetre would open up this compact bag to a lot more sales and 2) the rear access to get to lenses is a nuisance; you have to open up the entire bag (and get likely get the front dirty by laying it down) and expose everything inside to swap a lens. This means that the side access is really ONLY good for putting your camera in and out and nothing else; the other side of the bag where a water bottle can be held should let you open the inside of the camera and at least swap to one other lens; likely your second most used lens as a third, fourth, etc. lens at that point you'd need to open up the entire rear of the bag, and, again, expose everything. I think for this reason the Manfrotto Street Slim has the upper hand; the camera compartment is at the bottom front and lets you quick and easily pick out any lens you need without exposing anything else as the other half of the bag is for other storage; downside; no side access (Kata 3n1 series bags used to be able to do this, bought out by Manfrotto now selling as the PRO Light Multiloader). I think if you're going to be swapping lenses, I feel like MOST of the time (all the time?) you're probably going to take off the bag completely and do it on the ground or something. I have to wonder; what do you do more often? Change lenses or put the camera away/bring it out of the bag to warrant the necessity for side access... I say this because when I'm out, I usually have my camera in hand 99% of the time, so I really feel like I don't really need side access THAT much. I suppose you could just keep a lens in the top-loader section of the Wandrd bag for quicker access and have the lens in a thin pouch so it doesn't get scratched up by anything else in there (90% of my photos are taken with my 12-100mm lens, the rest with a 9mm Ultra Wide Angle). Is my assessment fair for this bag? I'm having a hard time deciding on either the Manfrotto Street Slim or the Wandrd PRVKE.
    Oh and lastly, the bag slouch at the top; there's a big gap between your back and the bag, it kind of sags forward. A bit lame; it should be flush against your back.

      Hey Mr. Anderson! Greta y name btw. Also thanks for the super thoughtful reply! Yes most of what your address is fair. . A few things i will add. Even though you place it from side down. Mine is not dirty at all. The material just wipes clean. I have the double side access of the peak design everyday and I like the full clam shell to load in and out all of my gear and it's much more convenient when on a client shoot. Having all the gear accessible is much better than any side access. But from what I can tell you are speaking from a street / travel photo perspective. So to address that. The water pocket is needed for tripods and having a water bottle is a must for me when out shooting all day. You also came to a great conclusion that. I keep my camera in hand. Or in the top loader for quick access. And I use the side access for my extra lens that I might grab. Or my drone etc. I have no sagging with my bag as I also just pull my straps tight and it sits flush on my back. And is really comfortable. The only thing that is the real problem is that, yes a 16inch 2021 and up MacBook will not fit. I guess the only thing I would say is that for me it is a great slim bag that can carry a lot. It depends if you like the style. Hope some of what address helps.

      Thank you for the detailed and SOLID reply!@@MichaelNgvyen The bag checks nearly all the boxes, as does the Manfrotto, I'm going to have to see both in hand and decide. Yes, you are correct, I am a street / travel photographer, I use an Olympus 12-100mm f/4 lens (it's actually smaller than a Canon 24-105mm) along with a couple really small primes; 9mm f/1.7 and 25mm f/1.7. I try to keep my gear and weight to an absolute minimum and still have as much versatility as possible to get all the shots I can. Unfortunately or fortunately, I'm stuck with a 16" MacBook Pro that I've been given from work, so while I have an amazing laptop, it comes at a bit of a cost of size. This is my achilles heal... my only solution to buy my own smaller laptop and not have to worry about the laptop compartment, but that's a waste of money as Ive been given one for free. Second, I do agree that the water bottle pocket is great for tripids, i do plan on using it along with my Sirui 5cx tripod (insanely small and light and cheap). In all, I'm trying to keep a camera body, 3 lenses and tripod at under 3kg. The laptop doesn't come with me on street or hikes; it stays in the hotel but I used to same bag for work, planes, etc. when I need to bring it. Do you find that keeping your camera in the top-loaded is difficult? If I were to do that, I'd have to get a neoprene sleeve because I'd keep other items in there and wouldn't want them scratching up my camera and lens. I currently have the Kata 3n1-10 bag (it's old) and I don't think I have ever used the side access to get my camera in and out of the bag; always the main bottom front compartment. Perhaps I just answered my own question LOL.
      Anyway, thanks again for the quick response :)

      @@thomasanderson5929 I guess before I head out to shoot for the day when travelling. I decided if I will use the side access or use the roll top. Side access is a bit faster to be honest but I like how can I put the bag right side up and grab the camera from the top access.. keep in mind its a roll top so it's not super fast access but keeps the bag small or expands a lot when needed.

      @@MichaelNgvyen Thank you! I went into a store to check out the WANDRD and brought my 2021 M1 16" MacBook; IT FITS! Slides in just fine into the camera compartment but the fit is a bit tight when the back needs to be zipped up, the laptop touches the zipper. So it's definitely doable. The bag feels a LOT more premium than the Manfrotto Street Slim... but at exactly double the price, I'd expect better quality. However, I'm still on the fence. The WANDRD has much nice shoulder straps though, but still not a fan of the back opening up like a clam-shell. My main two lenses are the Olympus 12-100mm and a 9mm f/1.7, I guess I could store the 9mm lens in the little pocket up top behind the roll top (it's REALLY small) for quickly swapping lenses and put the 12-100mm back in through the side access. Need to think about this. Thanks again for all your help :)
