- In this video, we'll be discussing the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) test and its use in environmental engineering. We'll also be discussing the first order BOD equation, and how it can be used to calculate the BOD of a waterbody.
If you're interested in environmental engineering or biochemistry, this video is a great way to start understanding the basics of the BOD test. It's also a great way to gain an understanding of environmental chemistry and the role it plays in water quality management. Thanks for watching!
The BOD test is used to measure the amount of biodegradable material that has been consumed or released over a period of time. The First Order BOD Equation is a mathematical equation that is used to calculate the maximum amount of biodegradable material that can be released over a given period of time. This video is designed to help students understand the concepts behind the BOD test and the First Order BOD Equation.
In this video, we will be discussing the concept of the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), how it is used in environmental engineering, and its relationship to the GATE Examination with animation and graphical concepts and the First Order BOD Equation.

Please make more videos. Your content deserves to be watched with payment. Plz cover more industrial and engineering topics
During entire graduation no one can explain BOD this simple.. And i'm glad that i found this video.. Please come with entire environment engineering and water supply and waste water engineering👨🔧...
Thanks, do share with your friends! Any specific topic, you want me to work on?
Can you make a video on recently using treatment new technology in raw water and waste water? Like how we explain in PSC's interview about new technology.
Pls continue making these kind of videos sir...all my doubts getting cleared
Concept explained very clearly.I could understand it ,being a lay man
Really impressive and minutely explained
Make video like this on every topic of environmental engg
I actually struggled to understand this but with your explanation, i was able to understand it well
Thanks Aaron, do share with your friends too.
Please put more videos
Videos are awesome
Explanation in ASP video made my all doubts clear.
Please make more videos like that.
Particularly in hindi language.
Overall perfect explanation 👍🏻👍🏻
Great examples in here, thank you for the video.
Wow I wish I could understand the topics as good as you! Keep the videos coming.
Thanks...would u like me to make video on any other topic?
@@Observer_Civil Lectures on Computational Techniques would be great.

Thank you very much sir
Most welcome
THANK YOU FOR SUCH A GREAT EXPLANATION
Excellent rendition.thank u
Do share! 😊
Sir keep this series continue
Thank you.. i was really helpful
Thank you so much. Very much helpful ✨🌟
Thanks Athiban, do share with ur friends!

Sir aur video banaiye na... please...
Irrigation & hydrology ka video please
Well explained. Thank you sir.
nice explaination sir
Pls continue this concept series sir
Thanks Ganesh...will try my best!
Could you please make a video on Demands of water daily demand, monthly?
Sir what is f in the BOD formula
Great!
Thanks a lot
Do share with your friends!😊
Very well sir

Sir ak video all types of hydrometer correction in soil mechanics pr banaye bahut confusion rahata hai
Very good derived explain i
Thanks for liking!
Sir good

How you plot thes graphs?
Using MS PowerPoint.
Dear observer_civil
Kya aap meri help kr skte h
Mere pas bhi kuch achhe concepts jinpe work krke video banana chahta ho kya aap bta skte h ki aise animation video kaise bnaye ja skte h
Why No treatment of sewage is done if the dilution factor is more than 500? We know more dilution factor means more bod. More bod means more treatment required. So why no treatment?
You are using Dilution factor term in two different contexts. Don't get confused.
Case 1. When a small amount of highly polluted sewage water is mixed with large quantity of fresh river water, the sewage water gets diluted and hence requires very less treatment. In this case the BOD of sewage water is very high, whereas BOD of water after mixing with river is very less.
i was doing so hard to understand this experiment but dont know what were you doing through out your voice over either you were chewing or eating some thing that it was so disturbing to hear your voice. ps i was using handsfree
Sorry for the poor sound quality experience...I am not using sophisticated instruments for the same. I hope u got the topic. Thanks for the feedback though.
Exactly I found it so hard concentrating.🤕
Dear, jab bhi kabhi aapko wqt mil paye reply jarur kijiyega ki aise animation video kaise bnaye ja skte h ....
I m creating these animations on PowerPoint only.
@@Observer_Civil kya vakai me ye video power point se bnaye ja skte h ,, mai try krunga
Yup these are made on PowerPoint only...and then I hv done screen recording.
@@Observer_Civil okey!!
Kya aap apki bni kisi bhi topic ke PPT send kr skte h mujhe
Sir aap subjects kra do civil ki

Sir हिन्द मे वीडियो बनाओ। please
I hv tried to keep language very simple.
What are you chewing?!
You couldn't wait to complete the video before eating what you were eating?!
