it's fun to watch S&E bicker and disagree over films, but the real joy is seeing them talk about a movie that they both completely loved. One False Move is excellent and deserves the praise!

One False Move is a classic! R.I.P. Bill Paxton.

I’ve never seen it but after watching this it shot to the top of my to-watch list. I didn’t realize Paxton and Thornton, who both starred in the also very good A Simple Plan, had been in another movie together.

@@ATMyles A Simple Plan is great and one of my favorites but One False Move is even better.

I drove from the suburbs to Chicago to see One False Move on their recommendation. It was every bit as terrific as they said it was and I revisit it often. It’s criminal that the Academy awards don’t recognize smaller films because they only see what the big distributors send them. Every main performance in this film is notable and Paxton was always a highly underrated actor. Top notch filmmaking!

One False Move reminded me of a old Andy Griffin episode where two convicts escape from prison heading for Mayberry, the two FBI agents talk condescending to Andy and Barney who eventually ended up capturing the convicts, primarily Andy. Funny how in one scene Cynda Williams asks bill Paxson if his wife’s name is Thelma Lou, lol. Great film, best of Billy Bob !

Bill Paxton headlined 2 stellar and criminally underseen crime thrillers in '92 with One False Move and Walter Hill's Trespass.

Robert Klane, the writer of Where's Poppa & Folks, was also behind Weekend at Bernie's, as well as Fire Sale (which Gene Siskel in 1983 called one of the five worst films he'd ever seen).

He also wrote _The Man with One Red Shoe_ and "co-wrote" _National Lampoon's European Vacation_

In any case Leaving Normal has become a more sought after movie , 25 years after it was released. It is nothing like Thelma and Louise. It is about 2 women who met in a town called Normal and they set out for Alaska , yet with no inkling if that was what they wanted. But Alaska worked for them in the end.

I loved Leaving Normal and enjoyed the pairing of Christine Lahti & Meg Tilly! I thought it was a sweet natured film with some comedic moments. It didn't have the heavy handedness of Thelma & Louise and to compare the 2 is a mistake. Sometimes Siskel & Ebert were way off the mark & can be hypocritical! I can never take them seriously.

I totally agree that Leaving Normal is quite quite different from Thelma and Louise.

K2 may have predictable structure but even so it still has charisma and it's fun to watch. I love that movie I don't care what they say.

One False Move was the best film and Folks was among the worst, according to S&E on the year end shows.
