Gather the seeds as soon as the buds have dried and start to pop open.
You can limit seed loss by wrapping agricultural fleece around the seed head.
Sow the seed immediately into seed trays which contain compost and grit mixed for drainage and soil structure.
I am overwintering mine in a cold frame.
In spring when the seedlings emerge you can pot on.
Agapanthus like full sun, heat, well drained soil and a restricted root run.
some agapanthus are hardy in the UK others are not, the hardy ones tend to lose their leaves. The evergreen ones are more tender and should be moved to a frost free environment or mulched heavily for winter.

Great video Mark, some useful tips that I'm going to use. I also propagate Eucomis and Caribbean Jewel plants from seed. If you like Agapanthus, I'd recommend the Caribbean Jewel. Thank you again for your update. Paul
I do love eucomis I'll look up the Caribbean jewel. I'm hoping to add some eucomis next year. Thanks very much. Mark
