@Jawadfarooqui4279 Though system requirements have it as supported (MySQL 5.7 Community edition or MySQL std/Ent 8.0.20 or later), I personally would not suggest going with MySQL. Depending on environment size it is better to go for MS SQL express instead of MySQL faced lots of issues in different applications with MySQL.

do i have to use microsoft sql server? bcs my windows 11 server cannot seem to open the installer.

SQL needs to be installed separately, moreover there is no Windows 11 Server. Either you have Windows Server 2016, 2019 or 2022.
