This is a detailed video on how to upgrade your BMW taillights to LCI which are in the facelifted models.
I hope you enjoy it, tried my best to show you all the steps clearly.
Notes:
Be very careful with tightening the nuts, make sure they don't fall.
When working with the plastics, be gentle they are fragile.

I dont understand. I have 2010m years e81. I changes the lights LED and all cabels are already same position like yours NEW in picture. And led doesnt show up.

The position lights are like the old model. The LED does not turn on. Did you also change the FRM module?@@acquiremuchdesirelittle
Yea, I did not turn on the LED's on the new one, its just the halogen bulbs which I rewired

Now i have finally installed my new tail lights, face lift version, i have rewired everythinh according to the diagram shown in the video but the parking lights (the 3 horozontal lines in the middle) doesn’t seem to work, any idea what could be the cause to this?
well done!! the 3 lines are reflective lights, I think in my picture they might seem like the LED version but they are not, you installed it perfectly :)
old ones look much nicer I wouldn't change them

Hey sorry the 3 lines are reflective lights, in my pic it might look like the LED version but they are not
im very confused about this E87 tail lights. i have E87 LCI model with LCI tail lights but they are not LED just regular exactly as your in 1:05 right...in normal daytime the uper and lower part of the light is light up. How do i modify them to light only middle 3 stripes as yours? just rewire them?
Hi Michal, I think maybe the light reflected is causing a bit of confusion, those 3 lines are actually reflectors, not LED so they dont light up, but I have added LED's under the light which has a similar effect, Ill release a video very soon with details.
@@acquiremuchdesirelittle i know it is not LED its just reflection from halogen light bulb and im ok with that i want that reflection so i dont have to buy LED headlights. how do i do that? im ok with regular halogen reflection from bulb.

I found some guy to do the same with a big old OBD reader. Took 1h and was $300 CAD
@@lucajack007 i think i know someone who can do it too but as i know for this i need 1.LED tail lights 2.NEW FRM module 3. wire from FRM module to tail light 4. reprogram it

hey, thats mainly from the picture, they are reflectors, they arn't actually on, however I got a video coming out which will resolve this :)
@@acquiremuchdesirelittle They actually lights up but it takes wirings or coding i read somewhere, btw It's been 3 months since you said you were on a video about it
@@raoufbelouar6104 Sorry my friend, been busy with life haha, I will try get a video out on this, I ended up adding a LED wire light with sequential (audi) indicators and I put it under the taillight

@@alancastillozarate Hi Alan, I am not sure, I ended up installing LED lines under the light, I will show this in the next video, they look much better than the standard LED lights
And rear parking sensor dont work anymore ?
This shouldn't affect the parking sensors, their not connected to the taillights
@@acquiremuchdesirelittle does your sensors work now ?, one friends that has done it told me that the sensors will not work if u do that change
@@fiodor8754 my sensors work perfectly, I have friends who also did this and it didn't affect their sensors

@@fiodor8754 Yea my sensors are original, this headlight doesnt have LED tubes, those 3 lines are reflectors
