You're right about ONE thing...we can argue this forever. But Robert never called Anna the love of his life and when Anna did enter the pic, Robert was thinking about her. BUT his main concern was how Holly was going to react to finding out he was married before. he was worried about losing Holly. He had no romantic interest in Anna. He chose Holly.
GMRC2, Robert did have romantic interest in Anna. And he did call Anna the love of his life. He also attempted to kiss Anna several time and finally did kiss her before he left to reunite with Holly in Australia. He gave Anna very passionate and kiss and said that nothing was final while they were together. Sure he was worried about losing Holly, but he also loved Anna.
Anyone that believes that if there was not a Robin, Robert would marry Anna a second time is not really reading the storyline. If Holly hadn't dissappear and stayed away, I really do not think Robert would have married Anna. He mourn her for a very long time. He was involved in her life with Duke but my feelings was because it was because of Robin. What did she do make excuses for Duke all the time. He was willing to send his daughter away to the Witness protection program just because Anna got involved with Duke and the mob. Did he love her,? I would say yes but not the way he loved Holly. Look at his body language when Anna was Kidnapped sure he wanted to find her, especially when it was suspected that she had gone back to be a double agent and he knew that would be the end of her If the WSB got to her first. This was her second round being a double agent, The first time she betrayed Robert. He chased Holly down when he spotted her even went and had dinner with her while Anna was missing. Now Look and listen to Robert body language when the DVX Kidnapped Holly not even his ex girlfriend Connie could console him and even when Sean Kidnapped Holly he would have killed Sean with his bare hands if he had caught him. He told all his exes about Holly he mourn her for a long time. By the time Holly resurface he had already married Anna and he and Robin and Anna were a family so he wasn't going to do anything to change that Listen to the old clips how he call Holly name, just how he call her name alone told you how much he loved her. I do think some of their personal life come over into the acting because TR and ES were together in real life.

Anna was always intense she came back wanting to create problems in Robert marriage with her manipulation and schemes. Robert was not happy with her. This is my belief if Holly had not presumed dead he would not have married Anna he loved Robin and though he loved Anna he did everything with Robin in consideration. I only started watching old episodes of Holly and Robert and you could see the intensity of the love he had for her. You will always have people in two camps with the two women Robert married and you can agree to disagree I say his love for Holly grew and he pretty much had to fight for it, it was not a spontaneous he fell in love with Holly before she did and that is why in my opinion it just jumped off the screen and Holly really did tried his patience with wanting to get involved with his work but he said it best he loved her more than life itself. She was the love of his life just Duke was Anna's love, all the issues and problems he caused even her losing her baby she still got back with him even when he got involved with Sonny's and his mob connections.

He never would of married Holly if she was not pregnant and needed a green card. When he married Anna, it had nothing to do with pregnancy or a green card. He married her because he was in love with her and when he married her again, he stated that he never stopped loving her.
I keep hoping too. Calling the gh comment line & telling the writers, producer that you are hoping for a Robert & Holly reunion may help. I have called a few times. The more we call the more they take notice.

I heard recently that she’s on nine medicines, but don’t know if that means she can fly. Maybe now that u.k. Travel restrictions have been lifted, Tristan can fly over, they can film reunion scenes at her house in the countryside?

Man couples like Robert and Holly back in the 80s and 90s certainly had more chemistry and knew how to kiss better than these young couples now on the soap operas - and this is coming from someone less than 40 years old. It's like couples today don't even like each other barely.

More like Anna is stalking you. I never got how people believed Anna was this strong amazing kick-ass woman when in the beginning she was far from that. She allegedly put her whole life on hold for 6 years, wore a fake scar, stalked a man, and set up his wife based on 3 week relationship. Robert walked away & moved on with his life, while Anna lived a sad, bitter, pathetic life waiting for the day she could 'get him back'. Nothing strong about that. Anna got so much better when Duke came along!

Anna and Robert made great friends, fellow spies, and parents to Robin. But w/o Robin in the picture. I wonder if they would have gotten back together. It didn't last in the long run.
Yes, I do think having a child together kind of glued them all into a genuinely loving family. But there's a scene in the preposterous. Antidote story where Holly admits she still loves R. and asks him to run away with him. He embraces him, and takes her gun away and promptly arrests her. Luke cheers for R.' clever acting. R. says, "Who's acting? I may have taken her up on her offer if it wasn't for Robin". I also think he was divorced from Anna at the time. Oh, yeah, he still loves Holly, when all is said and done!
