Amazingly quick progress in the pool @plumberparts ! Ive done 11 TH-cam videos so far on my DIY ICF pool starting in March and not even finished yet! What's your secret! Love your work! I subscribed to your channel years ago for the plumbing tils and tricks! Keep it up!
The bypass kit is also needed to get the right flow rate through the heat pump. To get maximum COP you don't want to run all the flow through the heat pump. It should have some flow curves in the instruction manual. Don't forget your check valves to stop the chlorinator destroying the heat exchanger on the heat pump!
I did one many years ago but I sourced a telescopic pool enclosure first, from EBay and built my pool to suit its size. 24x12 feet in old money Many happy times over the years but you do need a cover so you can use it year round. Well done
Great project doing one myself, you need that bypass on the heat pump to dial in the correct flow to get the maximum benefits from it, your heat pump will probably work at a different M3/hr to your pump and if you don't restrict it down you won't get the 2-3 degrees difference from the inlet to outlet and the COP will be dreadfull.
Hi been a fan for a while love your work . I have a above ground pool for 5yr now and we all love it. Just a thought .put the bypass out side with the ASHP free up some space . Also don’t you need a drain outlet for when you do a backwash ect .
Awesome work, great to see this in the UK! Does the liner simplify the job or would you recommend it for insulation. Also do you think a pool this size could work well in a conservatory, or is it likely to create a lot of condensation?
Looking very nice. My biggest regret with my pool was not doing it gravity feed to the pump, Why because when you turn the pump off you have to prim it with a bucket of water which also means you can't put a timer on it.
@@sdgelectronics Yes I have one of those set at 80% reducing the running cost by 50%. My idea was to run it in day light/12 hours with16 sola panels and on a timer to switch of at night reducing running cost to almost £0. But not being gravity feed it doesn't self prim to restart. My another my favorite ROGER BISBY, he is old and really calm guy. Both or u I learning plumber staff and English English. U have diffrent accent. Try replacing the pump with a variable speed pump, so you can keep a low flow all the time and increase when needed
