Do keep in mind it is a kids anime and specifically is written for kids but it holds up pretty well even now. There is a reason beyond edginess and cool quasi-pet/quasifriend designs people are still fans of this franchise and i kinda feel like its a little unfair to just laugh at names as the way to represent it.
Fun fact, the same character who brings up playing strip poker in this episode in an earlier episode confuses the story of the birds and the bees with an insect related fable and after being corrected spends the rest of the episode asking Ken what the story of the birds and the bees is(while being attacked by his own digimon) so do you think Ken relented or that Davis knows what strip poker is but not what the birds and the bees are(which to be fair feels in character)

The symbol on Calumon’s forehead isn’t the Digital Hazard. Guilmon has that symbol too. It’s called the Zero Unit. Calumon in the English dub referred to it as his Crystal Matrix.
Let me put my glasses for this one 🤓 It actually does have a name, it is called the Zero Unit, a symbol that a few digimon through out the franchise share, between those being the two you mentioned, Culumon and Guilmon. But there's others like Saint Galgomon and even Lucemon. It seems to be heavily inspired on the Keter (Crown) of the Tree of Life, Sephirot.
A majority of the Digimon that have the Zero Unit also have the Digital Hazard. It's also worth noting that Guilmon and BlackGuilmon's Zero Units are inverted. It's basically confirmed to be the "Keter" as it appears on the Keter sphere of the Digimon based on the Sephirot, Sakkakumon.
This is such a fun Christmas special! A Very Digi Christmas is one I watch every year. The Strip Poker line is funny. I kind of wish he played the clip of it. I really liked the screenshot question! It was actually not too hard because the screenshot with the girl and Centaurmon is from the World Tour Arc which starts right after the Christmas special. Ah my favorite way to nerd out. Q1: Grandma got ran over by a Kuwagamon was great. Moosemon and Unimon would have worked well, but a giant beetle monster running over a poor old lady is a great visual. Q2: nothing really to say here. Everyone and their grandma has stated why the second season is called Adventures 02. I don’t get it either. They then went, Tamers, Frontier, Savers, Xros Wars, Ghost Game and 2020 (the remake, so we distinguish it with the year it came out). Q3: Ah the infamous “Strip Poker” line. I have no idea what the dubbers were thinking as these kids are like 10-11. Fun Fact: Yolei’s JP name is Miyako. The dubbers thought it would be difficult to pronounce, so the producer, Terri Lee O’Malley wanted to give her a name with Lee in it, hence Yolei. Same vibes as why in YuGiOh, Sky Dragon of Osiris was changed to Slifer the Sky Dragon, but Mr, Slifer didn’t really try and shoehorn it in like O’Malley. Q4: More fun facts… in JP his name was Pipimon, which comes from Piipii or whistling in Jp. It was made literally as a showing that the main baddie has redeemed himself. It has never been used in any lines and died with his partner. Q6: I will ask for clarification on which language you are using. You used Gallantmon which is EN, but this time you used Goatmon which is a JP. Still a neat question and I love how confused they all were when the name was so simple. I actually like Oryxmon better, which is the EN name.

After the above though, the eventually edited it and have officially made Goatmon the JP name and Oryxmon the EN name. Now, if Goatmon is used in EN media, they will use the name Oryxmon to reference it.

Just wanted to point out that technically, Agnimon isn't even Takuya's partner Digimon. Agnimon is a form that Takuya turns into. Yes, in Digimon Frontier, the children turn into Digimon instead of having partners.

Goatmon had its Japanese name in English products (like the D-Terminal and the card game) for a couple of years before the dub of the fourth season changed it. I don't know which is considered its official English name currently.
Sorry to be that guy, but Goatmon is the Japanese name; to be consistent with how you usually do things where go with the dub name, the correct answer should've been Oryxmon.

I mean, technically Tai and Agumon were also the protagonists. So in Digimon season 1 and 2 technically everyone was the main protagonist. Its been Confirmed that they're all technically the main characters. Some just get a little more spotlight than others.
