    Terry Williams on drums beating up a storm. And a shoutout to the sound engineer who balanced this to perfection.

      For sure, it really is a great mix for a live performance

    Hi there. Great reaction 😊. I absolutely recommend Telegraph Road from the same concert Alchemy Live. It has so many beautiful transitions and beautiful lyrics with an even more epic instrumental at the end. Cheers from Australia👍👍🎸🎸

    Love Dire Straits. They are a great British rock band from the 70's-90's. Mark Knopfler is one of the best guitarists around. They have had so many hits including "Romeo & Juliet", "Private Investigations", "Twisting By The Pool", "Money For Nothing", "Walk Of Life", "Telegraph Road", "So Far Away", "Brothers In Arms" etc. They don't have a bad song.

    This was was recorded at one of the band's two nights at Hammersmith Odeon in London in July 1983 for the Album Alchemy. I was in the 6th row back about the middle of the row. It is now the Appolo.

      I still can't quite see you Rupert but I env you actually being there.
      What was the finishing song and encore, my friend?

    • @MrJckDoo
      @MrJckDoo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Isleofskye The last Song was Telegraph Road. The encore started with Solid Rock and finished with Going Home.

      @@MrJckDoo Thanks, Rupert. I will watch them all on here given this brilliant performance wasn't even the ending of the concert:)

      I was four rows from the front on the balcony! I'm a blob on the inside of the album, I remember the dark haired girl at the front, she never sat down!
      I was just 18, can't believe we can rewatch 39 years later!
      I think that I didn't appreciate how good it was at the time, I've always been a drums fan and Terry Williams was the man on the night, watching it now, he was world class

    Wow! They had a lot of fun with this live performance. The album version was about 6 mins, and the single (for radio play) was about 4 mins. This was well over 10 mins. Loved it! Awesome reaction!

    I have no idea why people request this version over the one where he isnt wearing a headband..
    For those who know what i mean feel free to add

    • @MrJckDoo

      He used to wear a head band on stage so he wasn't blinded by sweat

      Wtf has wearing a headband got to do with anything??

    • @michaelccozens
      @michaelccozens ปีที่แล้ว

      @@45dda I'm assuming that's just being used as a differentiation between the two versions, rather than saying that the headband itself is of any importance to the music.
