The double stops this girl plays are maybe the best I've heard- no expert- but the way she drones on one string and holds one note while playing the melody on another is really skilled, and I've wondered many times if I'm hearing layered tracks, because she really makes it sound like there's more than one violin being played. Not here though- it's apparently all real time. Outstanding! More!

Short story. So, I've loved the violin as long as I can remember. Finally got to start lessons in college. Was at the mall with my mammaw (grandma for you non-southern folks), and saw an new painting of a lighthouse that had a really old version of Amazing Grace score underneath. I memorized it, went home and played it. Played the song for my mammaw and she went and bought me that painting. I still have it and that song is what I used to warm up with. Also, played without the drone notes, it just isn't the same. This version is just something else! Thanks for sharing it with us!
