Replacing front brake cable on 1986 or 87 Yamaha Moto-4 YFM225 ATV (also 1987, 1988, 1989 models)

This is my experience replacing the front brake cable on the Yamaha Moto-4 Four-Wheeler using an aftermarket part. It was all pretty straight forward except for the phillips screw head which started to strip prompting me to drill out the holes.
After editing the video I feel that the length of the aftermarket cables which run from the splitter to the wheels are a little longer than the OEM, but it still works fine.

so why not put the rubber boot of the old one onto the new one
