I am happy to have met these people / did not always see each others point of view. BUT I learnt about passion. And after twenty years I still listen to Paul Brady (and Im English ) . x There are not many people that have the conviction of their words.
Paul's an artist of the highest calibre and a really nice guy as well. I've met him a couple of times after gigs and he's a true gentlemen. One of my favourite singers anywhere, anytime.
Paul is a VERY underrated and overlooked musician and songwriter... much like John Hiatt and Tim O'Brien (of Hot Rize "fame). Great to experience musicians that love their genre and appreciate what the get to do for this lifetime!
There used to be an EXCELLENT OLD version of this song on here, with just Paul and his guitar, could have been The Old Grey Whistle test. Cant find it anymore, MILES more powerful without the backing band. Anyone got it?
