I'm 14 years old standing in a garage playing with my yoyo and a song comes on the radio. Its "Hi my name is" by slimshady at the time. I stopped what i was doing and tried to listen to every word he was saying. That was the first time i heard eminem on the radio in the uk im 37 now and i knew he would be massive. This is in the same way i heard Dlows seeding round in the sbx battle it gave me the same chills that i haven't felt for a while. There are so many amazing beatboxers out there right now so old and alot new but dlow just makes me feel inspired in every song he puts out and every battle video i have seen him in. Thank you for believing in your craft and grinding it until there was alot more of an audience to make beatboxing really be recognised to the masses. This is all I've ever wanted from D-Low. Music. Not the competitions (though they are great), not the reaction videos (though they are fun), just the music production. He's so freakin' good at making you feel the emotions.
This song unexpectedly and slowly became one of my favorite tracks I have on repeat on Spotify because I just love how D-low just sits into the melody to let it develop. Is it the most hard-hitting, technical beatboxing? No, but I think that's the point. The beatboxing is still very impressive, but what this piece really does is show D-low as a musician. There have been a few beatboxers that, once they reach a certain level of success, try to distance themselves from the label "beatboxer" because they think the label limits them as musical artists. But I think D-low demonstrates how incredible an artist you can be even as "just" a beatboxer.

At 3:50 is my absolute favorite part. That sounds is one of my favorites and you were so clean and precise. I would say you’re almost as good as Collapse at making those two sounds. Obviously no disrespect as every Beat boxer has a sound in their arsenal that they are the best at. Well the Pro beat boxers at least do. You are my Favorite Beat boxer hands down. I use to think Cod Fish was the greatest and I think he could have been one of the greatest but he just dropped out after his last competition. From my observations he wasn’t able to emotionally handle competitions. He would get upset and he also thought he was the best there ever was. That’s not a bad attitude I think we should all have the respect about ourselves. You also need to be modest, respectful and what I’ve learned over my 46 years on this planet, you have to be able to admit and accept when someone is better than you. You should always strive to be the best at everything in life. You also need to be humble and happy for people when they are flat out better than you are. You’re not settling for second place. Without people who are better then you then you have no way of gauging how good you are. Just remember that. When you finally beat that person, it is a feeling like no other. Thank you D low for being you, as you are a role model I would want my kids to look up too. Unfortunate they are grown and on their own.
