    Astros are dealing with some injuries as well. They are missing their dugout mentor Michael brantley and their other ace starter lance mccullers jr too

    Both teams (Yankees and Astros) are great. The Astros pitching have been really good at getting ground ball outs, pop outs. Astros tend to score early usually the first couple of innings. Judge, Stanton, etc strike out alot. But they do get streaky hitting. Judge continues to hit homeruns and hope he get 60HRs this year. These two teams are on a pace to win over 100 games. ALCS in september/october will be fun. Get the popcorn ready. See ya in the playoffs.

      Yup it seems to be destined to be another matchup between these two teams in the ALCS

    Yankees need to stop thinking they can buy championships . The 90’s and 2000’s dynasty especially the first three peat was home grown talent. Then they started throwing money at big names like Jason Giambi, Garry Sheffield, Alex Rodriguez and got away from what made them great . Now the Astros has sustained success because they tanked three straight years and build from within.

    Yes I agree if the Yankees go out and get the very best highest paid players being offered up before the deadline
    They may make the show
    But could t any team do that
    That defeats the special from it!!!
    The difference between Astros fans and Yankees fans is Astros fans want the players that are on the team now To win. It matters that Bregman Altuve Yuli Maldy Justin Alvarez McCulers
    Win the Series
    Astros will get a lefty for the bull pen and run we brung all the way
    Man I love baseball and them Astros

    The sad part is they didn’t face their best pitchers. But that bullpen.. dang.

    Dusty pinched Alvarez to load the bases he knew they would put him on
    Doing that put more pressure on King had to throw strikes due to a walk ending the game
    It was brilliant!!!!

    As an Astros fan, great respect to the Yankees. We will NEVER take a game against you for granted. We know we can beat you but we also know you can beat us. Hope to see you in October- haha, not really, hope somebody not nearly as good somehow squeaks past you so we have an easier game 🤣🤣.

    They just have our number…. We can beat everyone but the Astros. I hope we don’t face them in the playoff cause I don’t see us beating them. Smh

      They prolly will. History repeats itself.

    • @nysports2

      It will definitely be our toughest challenge. At some point we have to beat them. Hopefully we make the proper adjustments. Also having home-field advantage will be important.

      @@nysports2 Astros play better on the road. I don't think home field will help the Yanks.

      @@nysports2 home field isn't that important, Astros have won 2 out of 4 in Bronx. and if it wasn't for Pressly having a rare and unexpected meltdown it would have been 3/4. I agree though all games have been tight. it will be a fantastic ALCS

    Also should not that the astros have played more road games than the Yankees. This may be a factor going into the second half, in that the astros have more remaining home games.

    • @nysports2
      @nysports2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's my biggest concern. We've shown no ability to produce vs. Astros pitching.

    • @jamescook6564
      @jamescook6564 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well, the Yankees and their fans disrespect everyone. That's why I'm glad the Astros spanked them like the little kids they are. They are going to make the Yankees respect them whether they like it or not.

  • @kmills62
    @kmills62 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    maybe Yankees should buy some Astros players and find out how to beat Astros.......Thats all i have heard all years is that this is one of the best NYY team of all time.....what happened?

    You give the Yankees too much credit. The Astros are clearly the better team. As far as saying that the double header had some to do with it, we’ll the Astros had to play the double header too.

    As an Astros fan, I fear the " law of averages " pertaining to the dominance of our wins against the Yankees. Future games may not be as favorable as I'd like.
    Player acquisition, injuries, sometimes luck will play a part of future games. As a fan, all we can hope, is that we can bypass the negatives and hope for the best.
    Go Stros 🤘

    I hope people don’t jinx the Astros cause New Orleans Saints owned the Bucs too and then TB12 went on to beat them in the playoffs and win the Super Bowl the same year
