Welcome to Metal Artist Reaction Day - Sunday!!
    Artist Name: Artcell
    Country - Bangladesh
Genres: Progressive Metal / Heavy Metal
Many metalheads from Bangladesh requested this track, and I know I delayed this but at least it's better to be late than never. This band has been creating some amazing progressive metal stuff since 1999 and as I told in my last reaction for ARTCELL, they are legends of Bangladesh when it comes to progressive metal. This live version is somewhere close to 10 minutes (The Original Track Duration: 16 minutes+). In fact, there is an amazing mind-blowing transition after the 10th minute which was not played on this live version but guys you gotta hear the original track. PURE GOLD !! I REPEAT - PURE GOLD!!
If you are a fan of progressive music, go straight away to Spotify/youtube and check them out. They definitely sound traditional progressive and it's a blessing to revive the original progressive bands in this era of experimental rock. I can definitely say that if the USA has Dream Theater, Bangladesh has ARTCELL.
Indeed one of the best progressive metal bands I have heard so far from South Asia. If you are a fan of progressive rock/metal, you should definitely check this band out. Peace out !!
PS: I will definitely check out other live full versions of Oniket Prantor. Also, while I was editing this video, I was playing the original song on Spotify for loop over 4 times. Also, the solo at the 13:00th minute of the original track is so damn amazing and the transition at the 14:00th minute is godly wow !! What a vibe !! I MEAN IT !!
The Original Band Track here: th-cam.com/video/qw1CVt43VKw/w-d-xo.html (Please check this out if you are listening to this band or this song for the first time and you are a fan of Progressive metal)
    Much Love,
    Addie

The then lead guitarist used 4 scales in this song!!! Can you believe? And those were perfectly placed in this song. Such a genius the then guitarist was!

Have been following metal since late 80s. In our time, we used to listen to a band album by album, not song by song, to really understand them. When Artcell came out we used to call Artcell ‘Metallica of Bangladesh’, not ‘Dream Theatre of Bangladesh’. Their Dream Threatre influences become more prominent from their 2nd album. Till 2nd album Artcell is Bangladesh’s best ever metal band. Period.
After their 2nd album they kicked out their lead guitarist Erahad Zaman. It is like kicking Kirk Hammett out of Metallica, Slash from GNR, Marty Friedman Megadeth, Brian May from Queen. Artcell is no longer a good band anymore after that.
These are some of Artcell’s Heavier songs:
    Bhul Jomno,
    Mukhosh,
    Kristin Manush,
    Pathor Bagan,
    Gontobbohin (Sepultuara influenced)
    Bangladesh Sriti o amra,
    Odekha Shorgo,
    Opshori,
    Chayar Ninad
    Onno shomoy
    Shohid Shorony

Metallica released their last great heavy metal/Thash album ‘Metallica’ in 1991. After that they took a long break and then released load and reload. Real metal heads were disappointed by their soft albums, although there were many great songs there.
Artcell, heavily influenced by Metallica, released their first album in 2002. Metallica fans in Bangladesh were craving for heavy, Metallica like sound, and Artcell fulfilled their requirement. Before Artcell, Rockstrata and Warfaze were the biggest metal bands in Bangladesh. In terms of quality, Artcell exceeded them all. Artcell’s guitarist Ershad Zaman is an underrated guitar god. He shared same stage with guthrie govan in Bangladesh.

@@koowasha sincerely appreciate your time and patience to explain this !! Couldn't have understood any better than this. Thanks a ton !! 🙂🤘
Now this gives me a perspective of Artcell. I agree with what you are saying. To understand bands like Warfaze or maybe Artcell in particular, listening to one song will never give us the better perspective of the band's background. Gotta listen to the whole album in sequence of old to new.
I compared Artcell with Dream Theater because the two songs that I reacted to had a lot of progressive influence. But Metallica's influence probably was there all over the sub continent. You will have a way better understanding about the scene in Bangladesh I guess because you have seen it grow from an early stage. Must be quite nostalgic for you and also my reaction won't be that appealing to you as I guess, as I had pretty little knowledge about the band's influence and line up changes.

You should make a reaction vdo on their studio version of this song. What you listen to here is nothing close to the epic madness of the studio version.

Adi bro u should listen the original track. This live performance was trash Their original guitarist was kicked out of the band. They were playing with a guest guitarist. The way ershad zaman plays the guitar part just amazing man. He plays the solos with such an emotion. You were talking about basses thus song has sucha tight bass and a bass solo as well...

Hey bro !! Thanks a lot about this amazing comment. I have pinned one comment. I have actually heard the original song on Spotify over 20 times by now. One metalhead brother from Bangladesh was kind enough to explain to me the history of this band. I studied about Ershad Bhai and got to know about his musical journey. It's an amazing feeling to explore these amazing artists from your beautiful country. 🙂🖤🤘

U chose the dumbest corporate version of all when artcell was going under break up.. here only one person is a permanent member of the main band…and its not even the full song…only the half portion of that 16min 21 second track ..this sound cannot justify ‘ oniket prantor’..
Please listen any other live performance..…
