Oooh, you should do a part two with more questions. I think a fun question would be "Which baby-sitter's handwriting do you like the best?" Mine would be Stacey's!

I had a thing for BSC way back in middle school but I have to admit I've always been more of a boxcar children girl myself. I do love this tag and it makes me wish I were an 80s kid so that I had the books more during the 90s. You have now intrigued me into rereading hte books and am now currently trying to find the series just out of curiousity!

OMG when I was 11 I was also thinking "OMG I COULD GET MY PERIOD ANY DAY." This was amazing. I'm such a Mary Ann even though I loved when they introduced a Shannon later on. I have such an urge to re read the entire series AND the California Diaries series.

OMG i love this tag! I love this book series, and I'm so happy I've kept them since they're no longer in print hehe :)

It's been awhile since I've read them (I'm re-reading them now) but I loved The Ghost at Dawn's House, Dawn and the Impossible Three, Mary-Anne Saves the Day, and Kristy and the Walking Disaster. (:

First - I read these as they came out. And second, I'm male, so that might influence some of my answers.
    1. Mallory - I wear glasses, loved reading, picked on constantly, and always felt younger than everyone around me.
    2. most memorable book - The ghost at Dawn's House. The first BSC book I ever read, and I chose it because of the cover.
    3. Favorite BSC charge - Karen - every sitting job is an adventure and she's crazy enough to be entertaining.
    4. Worst babysitting charge - Susan - I would be internally screaming - "Oh my god I'm going to do something wrong, I just know it, what do I do?"
    5. Favorite Villain - Cary Retlin - Intelligent and the BSC sometimes lost to him.
    6. Marry, Date, Dump - as a Heterosexual male I'm going with the BSC members if that's OK - Marry - She's the one that seemed to grow the most from the series and seems the most well rounded. Good marriage material. Date - Claudia - she seems fun and not too complicated. Great dating material. Dump - Dawn - As a Californian born and raised, every time she says something about California it makes me want to punch her.
    7. Favorite Claudia book cover outfit - none, they all looked weird or as a kid like Punky Brewster.
    8. Most unrealistic - Winning the Lottery in SS - California Girls.
    9. What you learned from the BSC - They don't have Thanksgiving in England. I should have realized but when I read that in Maryanne and the little princess, I was shocked by that.
    10. Topic - Electronic addiction - They had cable and video games back then, but none of the kids every seemed to play them or watch too much TV.

Awww, Jackie's one of my favourite charges too! But the "boring" sitting job you described sounds like a textbook example of a job sitting for Charlotte Johanssen. I'd love to sit for her, because we'd have a lot in common, and I quite like reading out loud when I have something expressive. Have you ever tried reading a "Goosebumps" book out loud? I love it, because I can do a weak whispery voice for the evil old man mask, a soft gentle voice for a ghost girl, a deep hoarse voice for a ghost-hunter...that's fun!

Well, nor do I. When I did it, I was practicing for a school I was about to start work at - the kids had a ten-minute break in the middle of the morning (like before morning tea time) and they were usually read some kind of story.

HANNAH, yaaaas. I loved the Baby-Sitters Club TV show (and the movie!) back in the 90s. I hardly remember it, but I do remember that one holiday-themed episode where Stacey ate a cookie or something then she ended up in the hospital. That was dramatic.

I loved this! I think it's awesome you like the BSC. I remember first reading them when I was eight and I thought they were soooo sophisticated, being so much older than me and all! I would definitely have to think how I would answer those questions.

How did you really get into BSC? Was it just caused you watched the tv show and then got into the rest? As someone else mentioned in the comments, I loved the Boxcar Children, but I was definitely a Mary Kate and Ashley book kinda girl aha. But my real addiction was the Nancy Drew books. I was obsessed. I want to reread them as well.

Def either Creature of Kapu cave or random of the seven ships! They were my first 2, and I've never liked any quite as much. I also like the recent one though, with the shattered medallion. I can't remember the full name. I'm currently playing the sea of darkness and I'm a bit stuck :P

I was obsessed with BSC in the late 80s. A lot more so than the Sweet Valley Twin series which was painfully junky even for a 9 year-old. Claudia Kishi ( was that her name?) was my favorite.
