    Thank you for your honesty :) I moved to Toronto as PR last year, I have been working in one of the major corporations here but I will be moving back to Mumbai next year. This has been a very conscious decision...I'm feeling happy that I accomplished my PR dream - I gave Canada a shot for a year but I voluntarily choose to live my original life & lifestyle back home. There should be no regrets/guilt for anyone planning to move back to their home country, its your home afterall and you should be able to move whenever you want. Alternatively, nobody should be raising eyebrows at folks who have chosen to stay in Canada. We all have different paths in this lifetime, all that matters is living happily wherever you want without having a stubborn negative opinion about that country, as all countries have their positive & negative points. Life is a box of experiences anyway... :)

    Lived, worked, studied in all these countries - UK, Australia, US and Canada. If you are a highly educated tech professional, US is the best country in the world. You can get better career opportunities in US on H-1B employment visa than being a Canadian citizen in Canada. Rather than doing odd jobs, driving uber in Canada better spend whole life on H-1B visa in US.
    Moved to Canada 2 years back. At this point, not even sure if I want to wait for another 1.5 years for Canadian passport.

    Canada is a terrible choice if you are in tech. If you are software engineer, embedded engineer or similar occupation, you might do fine. I have met many other automative/mechanical/aerospace engineer who are doing side hustles to make end meet in Canada. I have realized Canada is nothing but an immigration scam - it is only good for refugees or mostly blue collar workers who don't get high pay or value job in India. This country runs on money of immigration, black money from developing world poured in real estate, rich Chinese/HK investing to save their money from CCP and selling oil/minerals.
    I am living in Canada and before moving to Canada I always felt, I should have gone to study in Canada instead of US. But I am glad I did not make that mistake, and received quality education, experience and memories from US.
    Last week ran into an uber driver who was a mechanical engineer and doing side hustles in Canada for last 4 years as he couldn't get job in his domain. He told he could land a job in Canada but became Canadian citizen few weeks back and already landed his field job in US. So he was moving to US on TN Visa. He is non India, so can get green card in no time.

    I feel law is too soft in canada and criminals are having a good time here without any problems, and us hard working people are paying the taxes, and heavily enforced in all aspects

    • @linksow5331
      @linksow5331 ปีที่แล้ว

      Criminal law is far more complex to enforce than civil law. I saw that through and through in Brazil, exactly what you are saying... it looks like criminals have all the advantages and no punishment for their acts -- But that is because it's easier to fine someone for some civil violation than to jail someone for a criminal violation.

    This is very disheartening that the forever Hopeful person on the earth for the Canadian dreamers who used to counter all the arguments easily and successfully for the Canadian Challenges for the newly landed immigrants in Canada has finally got convinced to some extent that People are actually leaving Canada and the challenges being faced after arriving in Canada for the newly landed immigrants are getting larger and larger gradually. This is definitely not good for the golden headline "Forever Hopeful". Sad for the country of Dreamers. We definitely need lots of positivity in the air. As everyone is aware that the couple of the top most issues in Canada haven't developed overnight like Housing and Healthcare and May the almighty make this great country greater and the best again in the years to come. I am really hopeful for this as I have learnt this from Forever Hopeful one and only Canadian Immigration legend only.

      The only advantage you will have is baby would be a Canadian citizen. Rather have the baby in US, it would be better for the baby and you. An American citizen can sponsor his parents for green card after turning 21 and there is no queue or quota. In Canada, there is quota for parents.

    • @linksow5331
      @linksow5331 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is honestly, untrue. Things are hard, but things aren't dire. You're not struggling to live -- at worst you're struggling to keep your lifestyle from a few years ago. Go take a look at Brazil for example, where one person living out of minimum wage (most people in the country) literally has to choose between having lunch or having dinner. Or Argentina where your money may not even be worth its weight in paper tomorrow.
      Canada is merely harder than it was a bit ago. Bankrupt and heading off a financial cliff? That was Spain a few years ago -- We had stores closing on a daily basis, there were actually no jobs rather than there weren't jobs people wanted to take as in Canada right now -- rents were being pulled out, people were losing their homes - debt was piling up alongside unemployment -- young adults were going back to live with their parents because they simply couldn't afford anything anymore -- most people would still had money to affort to take a risk left the country and tried to restart somewhere else in Europe -- I know way too many people who left to Portugal and France --- and I've said it before and I'll say it again: there were no jobs, you couldn't take a part time, couldn't go wash dishes at a restaurant, be a cashier, couldn't even get a job to clean the streets -- there were NO jobs.
      Canada is worse than it was... But Canada is fine. People really just got too used to how easy life was in Canada these past few years pre-Covid. All golden roads eventually end.

      Look, what I am saying is... Canada has been worse than it was for barely one year... One single year... After three years of worldwide doom pandemic that has devasted the world FAR MORE than it did Canada... At worse you can call current Canada *tough times*, there is no doom and gloom in the horizon.
