Great tips. Love how you removed the mom off the eggs. The straws help a lot. Man Governor you just keep helping me. I do carpet pythons but everything you do works for carpets.
You were so gentle with the mama. She didn't look happy to see anyone. She had those eggs well covered. I was surprised that she stayed in the measuring tub.
Another great video Gavin. Great to meet u at Donny mate. I was the northern Irish fella downstairs opposite swell. Be nice to see an update on some of your hold backs man.
Hey Gavin I have a question & I hope you can help me with some answers when you have the time. Long story short I've kept all kinds of reptiles since childhood & I'm just getting into breeding ball pythons & have thought of making it as a part time hobby to produce & sell. My question is once I cut the eggs within the proper time of their incubation where do the babies go? I know they have to be inside of their egg to absorb nutrients for 2 to 3 days before they come out but I have yet to find a video in TH-cam of what happens next after cutting the eggs do I leave them in the same tub & put them back in the incubator? & what should be the proper temperature? My next question is once they do come out of the egg & I put them all together in one tub with moist paper towel as substrate where do I put them? & what temperature & when do I feed them before or after the first shed & when does their first shed occur? I hope this comment reaches you & as a fellow hobbyist with the same love & passion for these animals I hope you can reach out & help me thank you
CBU2221990 hello.... After they come out the egg, I clean them up and put them all together in one tub in my hatchling rack, which has a hotpot of 90'f... Then around 10 days later they shed out.... Then I set them up in there own tub and wait around 5-10 days after that to offer food.... Sometimes I'll offer food 1 day after they have been setup up in there own tubs. 👍
Great Video! I incubate about the same way. Instead of vermiculite, I use small river rocks and the light diffuser. The rocks can be boiled and never go bad. I can just reuse them over and over.
Okay thank you so much i just saw the humidity so high and thought 😬I didn't know it drys out, I will keep an eye on it and hopefully once it drys out humidity will drop. Thanks again for your help 👍
Great video mate. Info what you do think of taking in. Like feeding records the weight before and after. Bathing the female to get the egg smell off her. Spot on mate thank you.
Great videos, very informative which leads me to believe you are perfect for this question. I just got my fist snake, I did as much research as I could before hand and got his husbandry set up properly. He's doing perfect and I love him, I just don't know what morph he is. How could I figure this out, it's nothing important, just curious is all. Anyway, thank you the info from your current vids, keep it up and I wish the best.
What type of incubator do you use or recommend if any at all? Just trying to figure out a good brand, I’m a firm believer in the saying “you get what you pay for”.
gav ive got one egg and it appears to be folding in the middle, ive used a torch and can see plenty of blood vessels. would you recommend anything or can they collapse a little?
Hi we're getting a baby ball python 5 weeks old. Will it be okay in my Exo terra 18x18x18 glass viv to start off with. And how long before I need to upgrade it thanks
congratulations on your new pet.....I can't really comment because I don't know how the breeder who your getting it from is keeping it....maybe ask them and see what they say 👍
Where are you located my wife just said your living in the US in Maryland if so we live in MD as well and I would love to come see your snakes at a show and maybe pick your brains out if everyone I’ve watched you’ve been more informative and less judgmental then anyone else so far

Hello I've decided to put my new baby pinstripe ball python in a rub with a lid, I've put a row of holes along all the sides. I have a warm hide and a cold hide and a water bowl so he can soak in if he wants. Also iam using aspen as my liner, My temps are spot on, however my humidity is very high at 80. How can I lower the humidity, please advice me
Thankyou he's a pinstripe male beautiful. They keep him in a small tub in the shop with 1 small coconut hide and 1 small water dish that's how small it is if this helps

what is it at?....also 80° is a bit to cold
what do u use to wash her up
I use warm water and hand soap....it doesn't hurt them and I feel it helps them get back onto food quicker.
Thankyou he's a pinstripe male beautiful. They keep him in a small tub in the shop with 1 small coconut hide and 1 small water dish that's how small it is if this helps
they don't like a lot of room, so I would keep him as he is been kept as long as he's feeding fine, to much of a big space my put him off food.
do I need a lisence to breed snakes
🐍🥚🐍👌🏿
Thanks Gavin , speak on the next one .
Colin Hodge for sure mate 👍
Sorry I meant my hot side is 90 my humidity is reading 80% how do I lower humidity
oh OK....well if your using aspen then it should dry out and it should come down, give it a few days and see what happens 👍
2 males on a female is that a common practice?
if one male goes off food then I take him off the breeding team. then a back up male will take over. 😊
O ok.... absorbing all the info you put out another great vid
that's good glad I can help 😊
