This is by far the best interview I've seen from Michael C. Hall. He's a fairly reserved guy, and on standard talk shows, the time is very limited, so he never gets to open up. He seems to have really enjoyed himself here. This is the first interview that I felt I learned something about him. Good show!

Im still watching Dexter I'm on season five episode 2 and I'm glad though because i still can be excited and interested in this show that its so fun. Micheal C Hall is the best actor alive the best!
He plays Dexter so perfectly. Michael says in the interview that because Dexter is disconnected, in some ways it is easier to play the role. I think he is being modest here because Dexter is a complicated character with ever evolving processes. Michael C Hall is an outstanding actor. Ultra talented!
+Relatixe: Many people disliked Season 5. They thought it was anti-climactic. I liked it, and I loved the "romance" with Julia Stiles's character. There are more things that the character of Dexter needs to go through, and he evolves and devolves in Seasons 6-8. I know you wrote this comment 3 years ago, so I'm sure you watched all seasons. What did you think overall, and how did you feel about the ending? BTW: I agree that Michael C. Hall is a great actor for sure. However, I was BLOWN away by Jennifer Carpenter's portrayal of Dexter's sister Deb. I thought her acting was beyond superb; she moved me to tears on at least 2 occasions during the show's tenure because her acting was so convincing and REAL.

Loved this - fascinating to learn about intriguing actors and understand what goes on in their heads. 2 hours disappeared in a flash 🤭. Love his sense of humour! And he’s refreshingly down to earth. Watched 8 seasons of Dexter in 10 days (thankful I don’t have to wait 10 years for Dexter: New Blood!) and currently watching Six Feet Under.

A unique, impressively insightful down-to-earth interview. Rarely does one get to see the deeper truths explored in such detail and within such a familiar, relaxed atmosphere. Pollak maintains a pleasant symbiotic balance in communication and chemistry with Hall throughout the entire interview, and with such meaningful questions rarely posed outside of the living room if at all, I found myself totally intrigued. Thank you for sharing this!

+april gant you should read the Dexter Novel series by Jeff Lindsay there are 8 book's Darkly dreaming dexter/dearly devoted dexter/ dexter in the dark/Dexter by design/dexter is delicious/Double Dexter/Dexters Final cut than the finale Dexter is Dead.. Astor and Cody have dark passenger's of there own in the book's that Dexter helps to shape in book 3 after realizing Cody had a dark passenger towards the end of book 2 dearly devoted dexter.. you're welcome

Best interview with MCH that I have seen as it is one industry professional speaking to another & no stupid "fan" questions either from actual fans or interviewers acting as the medium, you could say the fans' voyeur. The biggest surprise for me was that KP started as a stand-up comedian and what his agent said to him because he's a bloody good actor.

Well, I think the main reason why people find so much similarities, is simply that by the looks of it, Dexter's "fake nice" personality for people is actually mainly just Michael's real personality.

He was part of two great series that had mediocre endings. Makes sense he would want a reboot. Pollack was close. Not a movie, but a reboot.

This interviewers crazy man, hes like making statements as opposed to actually asking questions....which is what he supposed to do. He also stutters and stammers non stop
I enjoyed the interview, I think Dexter actually lets his guard down, Michael seems very sneaky like his star turn, part of me feels like I am watching Dexter, they don't seem a million miles away from each other, it must be really confusing for people when meeting Michael and annoying for him.
In theory the character dexter is playing a Normal guy, so Michael is playing an evil character that’s playing a normal guy like him if that makes sense 😂

I had no idea that Kevin Pollak was such a talented interviewer. And...when I hear his voice, i always hear his impression of William Shatner. In fact, When I see William Shatner in the old Star Trek shows, I actually see Kevin Pollaks impression of him. Weird.

The fact that Pollack does bring up his past acting successes as often as he does....its no surprise that he does talk too much, whether it be about himself or something delayed just to not put the attention on the guest.
I hope Michael c hall buys the dexter rights when they go down and then Rewrite the ending again.. but for real like if they wrote like season 8 was the end.. or if they reshoot the last 15-20 minutes… I don’t know why showtime Wouldn’t order a reshoot after seeing the finale If I was Espinosa I would have ordered that shit….

Love the show guys. If I could just offer one suggestion though (respectfully): Have a point and get to the point.
It sort of seems like the point is to be unbounded and go with the flow. A relaxed conversation that could go anywhere. It kind of works.
@@physicsguybrianit works in a sense that the interviewee is comfortable and it makes the interview more entertaining as opposed to a short timed, sorta scripted conversation but it makes the interviewer a bit unlikeable cause he just keeps going on and on

Six feet under has the best ending of any show I've seen. Nor so with Dexter but they may fix that now that it's coming back on
What a wasted opportunity! Six Feet Under was one of the most unique and brilliant shows ever created and Kevin Pollak barely mentions it, also he goes on about himself way too much!
