Voice Crystal's probably the best one. Seems to fit the best for this song, even though it's probably the smallest soundfont here. EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure ProVitamin's Guitar sound is an octave too low. Just like the one with a "screaming cat."
I already replied to this, but my comment seems to have disappeared... The MIDI is from Lee Jackson's website: leejacksonaudio . lbjackson . com (without any spaces)
It's amazing how bad all these sound for the price. Some of them I bought and all I regretted except the Voice Crystal. Same guys that did the GUS and ICS patch banks.
I really love that last one. Except synths always sound cool and futuristic to me, not retro :) The first one was really cool sounding too. Realistic sounds are impressive, but I find midi tends to shine the best with those strange, beautiful sounds only a computer can make
Audio Newbie here. I'm considering purchasing the JaZMan GM24 Pro soundfont, but as with many other soundfonts out there, I do not like the electric guitars, especially while playing Grabbag. I've tried numerous soundfonts from the web, Arachno, Fluid R3, Musyng Kite, etc, but the only soundfont I find to have perfect guitars is SGM 2.01. Being a complete noob, what would be the easiest way to replace the JaZMan guitars with the SGM variants, while keeping all the other instruments?
+Zuon94 Use Polyphone to renumber the banks of the electric guitar presets (or just delete them) from the JaZMan soundfont. Then copy the electric guitar instruments from the SGM 2.01 soundfont and paste them into the JaZMan soundfont so that they replace presets 000:029 and 000:030. There are also some instruments that need to be edited or replaced in JaZMan: * Square (erroneously set to monophonic mode) * Synth Voice (000:054) and similar instruments sound weird/off. * Both the Square and Bass & Lead instruments are too loud (Square attenuation should be 36 dB, Bass & Lead attenuation should be 24 dB). * Fiddle/Viola are 1 octave too high (regions and then the samples' root keys need to be shifted up 1 octave). * Synth Drum is 2 octaves too low (regions and then the samples' root keys need to be shifted down 2 octaves).
Then make an sf2 file with your own recorded guitar instrument in it. And I mean like just that one by itself so people can add it into a full soundfont if they want to. I mean, if that is what you are suggesting.
the_ally235 thanks. I recorded my sample pack, but seems like I'm a total noob at SF2 programming, and not interested in doing this for so far yet, is there anyone who can do it?
nvm. You just have to copy and paste the name in the description. You can also try a two week trial, which I think is cool, just in case you don't like it. I am not really gonna use the synth, just the soundfont, and I usually do change soundfonts after 2 weeks, 'cause I am a freak, so it really doesn't bother me, however, if you want to buy it, it will cost about $150 for a lifetime purchase.
Lol the soniqbear one really did sound like someone was proficiently kicking a trash can or smacking two lids together repeatedly.
@@sourcecode16 Predictable I knew someone was going to say that
Lmao 😂
Killer tight and punchy sounding bass on the SONiVOX Retro Synth rendition.
i really like the eye one (third)
edit: EYE & I Productions Voice Crystal 4 MB GM v4.1
2:05 noice
12:48 is also good
32:04 is best

I think that SoniVox 250MB distortion guitar and bagpipe are some of the best instruments ever made on a soundfont, be it free or commercial
where did you get the full length midi file? i would love to give this soundtrack a remastering via REASON

Thanks :)
I would love to hear a Gravis UltraSound rendition of this.
NTONYX 32MB GM Stereo sounds like 80's music
The only thing the GeneVoice got right was the bells.

JaZMan is so close to being perfect, also feel proVITAMIN is onto something, just horribly executed
Can someone link me the links to the soundfonts used here? Thank you!
You have to buy these. Though, they still could have at least linked the store page.

OmegaGM GS2 has even better guitars. Look for that one.
yeap some certain computers like that im using has Coolsoft virtualmidisynth #1
For soundfonts that cost, they are pretty garbage. there are free soundfonts that put these to shame!
Everything sounds pretty shitty. Man I have an electric guitar and I could contribute some samples.

+Vadim Taranov Post the sounds up on youtube so we can see how they sound and decide to use them.
duke nukem: Damn im good.
I can't believe It became standard again if they don't support enhanced ones with these soundfonts anymore oh wait they still do
How do I get the last soundfont featured here?
