I remember going down to see the USS Massachusetts at Fall River when my dad was stationed at Otis Air Force Base on Cape Cod. It was a great experience and I've been on about a number of Naval ships from the past since that time. I've got several ships I'd still like to see including the British ships at Portsmouth UK, the German U boat U-995 in Germany, an ironclad in the Netherlands, and even some American ironclads from the Civil War (I've been to the Naval museum at Hampton Roads and discovered one of my newly arrived Irish ancestors was drafted and served on the USS Monitor (Coal Stoker)). Old ships are neat.
@@CitiVibes Nope, that's the 5 inch gun. you see the two signs that says so as they walk past the out side wall. but that's not a 16 inch turret it's a 5 inch turret. back the video up about 15 seconds and read the two signs.

I hope you get the chance to visit all those amazing places.
I've been on her a few times with my sons, the old sub is quite interesting amazing how the men could handle a long patrol.
@@JohnMarotta-vm6kq I hope you had a great time with her 😍
No video inside the main guns? or did I miss it?

@@CitiVibes WOW...I'm just at a loss for words.

she needs an overhaul like the uss texas
