Peru’s incredible scissors dance performed in NYC

The New Yorkers are lucky enough to see different cultural performances from around the world. During a Pow Wow held in Brooklyn, New York City Sunday, an incredible scissors dance impressed the audience deeply.
Performed by inhabitants of Quechua villages and communities in the south-central Andes of Peru, the Scissors Dance is a traditional event that tests the physical and spiritual strength of the participants.

I love how indigenous cultures connect in many ways. Within America natives dance something called the grass dance. The regalia of this dancer really reminded me of the bright and flowey regalia of the grass dancers. Wonderful representation of your people, you should be proud.
