    Hi... Your videos are definitely useful.
    I am not sure if someone has mentioned this earlier in comments.
    You repeatedly mentioned that A is neither atomic no. nor its atomic mass. That's perfectly fine. Further you mentioned that atomic mass is never a whole no. (except for atomic mass of C12). Further even you mentioned that even atomic no. is never a whole no.
    I think its not correct since atomic no. is directly no. of protons and always its whole no.

    Nice lecture i have got knowledge about nuclear chemistry

  • @CHEMISTRYASSETS
    @CHEMISTRYASSETS 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    nycly explained,,but one thing i would like to add to the stability of nuclides is that, always the nuclides with N/Z =1 are not always stable ,,it should be present on the "belt of stability".
    eg. Na with Z=22 and N=11 have N/Z =1 but this is not stable and it undergoes positron decay because it is present below the belt of stability.

    • @meghamittal1443
      @meghamittal1443 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sir, you said that nucleus with mass no. less than 40 should have N/P=1 to attain stability then why in case of Na where A=22 and Z=11 undergoes disintegration ???..please reply sir

    Thank-you so much sir for this concept .you said for elements with mass no. Till 40 the N/Z ratio should be less than or equal to 1 and similarly for mass no. Greater than 40 N/z ratio with greater tgan one their nuclei are stable wright? But while solving the examples you didn't use the concept ?
