The legend of the vedha vikram is even more interesting. Vikramadhithan was a king and vedhalam was a demon who was throwing riddles and stories at him that leads him to a higher purpose. This movie was inspired from that legendary tale.

Yes they helped each other out to solve this mystery. Obviously Vedha initiated the truce and both shared the information they knew. One of the best thrillers I have seen.

The entire Dialogue scene which you saw was perfect picturization, Neo Noir style.
Vikram in white resembling Good, Vedha in Black resembling Bad. Even when the camera moves lighting shade turns white to black and black to white.
