Thomas Reid. , Can you imagine getting on the tour bus with Flatt & Scruggs as young as Marty.. he's a good guy by all accounts and he knows the history of not just country but blue grass. I always thought him a great blue grass mandolin player. Heck I reckon he's purty good on everything , I'd like to find a copy of his picture book with the cd's still in it.
I swear to God this band Marty put together is just incredible. I just love every song they have ever played, a cover or original. Man o Man these guys are amazing.🎤🥁🎸🪕🎻
growin up in Brooklyn noo yawk we learned country music from the grateful dead and new riders of the purple sage....always loved the bobby weir country tunes and that special energy those songs contained..and so here's marty doing that same high energy country twang and rock....gotta love it,,,
I love these guys. So musically tight and talented but attitudinally loose and fun. They are so NOT full of themselves. The word “fabulous” being part of the bands name could not be more tongue-in -cheek. Under it all they exemplify reverence for all the artists and performers who paved the way for them to be where they are as well as respect and appreciation for their audience. They know what they love to do and they’re doing it and it shows. I would love to sit in and play with these guys.
Kenny Vaughan is truly an exceptional country guitarist. Greetings. th-cam.com/video/pPiZhpTxPMk/w-d-xo.html *DEEP IN THE💘OF TEXAS* Guitar live version in the style of *Duane💛Eddy*
The band I'm in got the honor and privilege to open for Marty & the Fabulous Superlatives back on July 17, 2008 in Hiawassee, GA at the Anderson Music Hall - I finally also got to play "Clarence" just literally minutes before Marty went onstage that night. It was a dream come true!

I remember back in the '90's (or early 2000's) watching "Austin City Limits" on PBS. There was a band with a lead guitarist that looked amazingly like Cousin Kenny; I THINK they called themselves "Red Knuckles and the Sidewinders". I do remember a version of "Apache" that was MIND BLOWING (!!!!) and calling their fans "Knuckleheads". Incredible music aside, they played for comedy and I remember the "Cousin Kenny lookalike" being dragged off the stage because he was "hogging the show"! Does anyone remember this or am I all wet? Thanks!
In my opinion , Marty is the Boss of Country Music ! Say what ? No... I mean real Country Music !
