The lean forward on the jumps kills me. She’s so lovely and then the jumps break the magic spell.

Are there any women doing quads at all in this competition or was it too exceedingly dangerous as Dick Button once said.

Nope. No quads. Not even attempts

Exactly. She's the most lyrical ladies skater out there right now. No one else comes close. She got the highest PCS in both the SP and LP. She lost because of silly mistakes, and it should not be happening. If she got her technical skill together, she could be untouchable. Among other things, she needs more speed going into her jumps. That's what will fix the under-rotations she keeps getting hit with. Unfortunately, she has that long hesitation before all her jumps that reduces her speed going into them. She's also getting deductions for edge calls. That's absurd at her level. She's throwing points away. After all, she only lost this competition by just over four points. If she doesn't pull ahead and set herself apart from the rest of the ladies this season before the Olympics, she likely has no chance at gold.

She actually fell on the Lutz. Her bronze medal finish reminded me of Michelle Kwan at Nationals that year, although the latter placed second at Nationals.
