Gonna have to install upgrade now, thanks. I really like the muting parts and bass features. The bass can over play a little sometimes but how dare you assume I wouldn't wanna jam with Jaco!? LOL Great review! Thanks again!!
Apparently Nicola Bryant, the guitarist from Colin Baker and the Boobs, has recorded a whole album with this gizmo. Not sure what the sound quality will be like but the Boobs were a punk band so the do-it-yourself aspect may work.
Is there any documentation that explains the upgrade what you need to do to access the new settings? Or are the only updates the things he shows in the video? BTW - I always use the mixer output to send the drums/bass to my studio monitors and my guitar goes through the amp. Everything sounds great.
Yeah, because guitarists who don't practice alone are Reeeal good at guitar. I'm sure dumb internet trolls out to make people feel bad are just swarming with friends too.
Sadly the firmware updates (and other Trio related stuff) is no longer downloadable on the Digitech website. Do someone knows an other website where it is still available?
Yes, this is a result of the company being sold. I would still try hitting the contact button on their site and maybe you can get a response. Once Cort begins to produce these again, I'm sure support will be back online. Best of luck!
Thought these were just silly when they came out and didn't like the fact they released a "pro" version soon after the original (Companies need to cut that shit out, don't release a product, then a "better" version of the same product, make ONE product and do it RIGHT, then go ahead and design new and different products) but when the price dropped to "pocket change" level, I figured "what the hell".......and I must say....It's kinda fun, don't expect some ultra-serious tool for crafting your masterpiece, its just a fun "fuck-around" box
been trying to use this with my synth. why does it always sound like its being run through a distortion??? i hope they make one of these pedals for more synth oriented people.
+MegaCrasherMusic I think they are using midi styles from BIAB. I use the actual BIAB & with in that program you can actually switch the instruments to real instruments which is cool. Maybe even with Midi if you could use VST type plug ins or something. I would guess that might be the next step in the Trio evolution. But for now I have great fun just using it as a practice tool.
This is as close as you can come to a live drumer and bass player. If it's running through a decent amp you'll love it. The video's don't do it justice.
I reckon the drum and bass could be enhanced if it's played through a bass amp and with a bit of reverb. I also really want to hear whether some metal guitar with these things.
Aren't they the same? You can't upgrade the firmware online? I thought that's what firmware upgrades were all about. I did it for my Source Audio Nemesis, and I'm a complete idiot.
Yes, it can play in 3/4. It'd documented in the manual. Each genre has different sub-genres or styles as they call it. Some styles are in 3/4. Usually they are towards the higher number settings on the styles dial such as 11 or 12, but it's all documented in the manual. If should pick up 3/4 too when it's learning if you play as square as possible.
This pedal is for those who don't have a band. Nothing can replace a live person playing music, but FX-Pedals have come a long way and for the price, this thing is very nice. You can mix the pedal through an EQ and play with the tone. You crank this thing through a nice sound system it will sound fine.
+Alex Ruiz I also can't afford something like this here. But there are some Chinese brands with great value for money, Joyo or Nux for example, their stuff starts at almost ten times cheaper than this.
One feature I would really like (apart from better sounding samples) is to have seperate outputs for bass and drums not bass and drums combined. In a spare parts p.a. setup running the trio into an old rack preamp I could then eq and compress seperately bass and drums to try to at least bring some life to them. the extra modes on the footswitch annoy me. The 2nd mode where you have the mode button also is the same as the "band" button turns the band on but when you want to turn the band off the mode button only changes style instead. so it's great you can remotely start the band with a 4 click lead-in but you can't turn the band off remotely (i was under the impression you're supposed to be able to but that isn't the case with mine unless I have a fault)
Why do these demo's always start off with someone showing us how good they are and making us feel like throwing our guitars away? A) I'm crap., B) But I want one of these to make me better. C) Show me how it works. Thanks.
"For those not wanting to jam with Jaco" LOL
People seem to give these products real crap. These products aren't about tone. They're about teaching one to be a better musician.
Good review. And you're a great guitar player.
I should update mine

Hello! Could you Install the firmware??? I dont find it anywhere, can you share the file?
Wow... I am blown away!! Band in a box! Lol Crazy.
How are you suppose to download the updates to the pedal? I went to Digitech's site and could not find any instructions.
Anyone else waiting for an EHX Mel 9 demo?
I like laying down some loops then changing the style..it’s crazy it makes a song take on a whole different vibe.
I like that guitar groove

How do you add the new firmware update?
TRIO aside, Andy always gets fantastic tones no matter what he's playing.
Wish they made one of these for bassists I.E. Robo guitar and drums
Nice démo as always. should update mine

That's the same way I connect mine.
For all the forever alone guitar players :')
Yeah, because guitarists who don't practice alone are Reeeal good at guitar. I'm sure dumb internet trolls out to make people feel bad are just swarming with friends too.
I sometimes play guitar by myself for 12 hours a day. Someone please be friends with me.
Alright........................................

I find this app today. can make google disk share if you need it.
If you think Jaco is busy, you should hear his nephew, Dave
Thanx! Did you use additional overdrive in these lesson?

What are the names of the songs Andy plays in this video?
Do these software updates The Trio and the Trio Plus? I have both. And where and how do i do it? Thanks :-)
been trying to use this with my synth.
why does it always sound like its being run through a distortion???
i hope they make one of these pedals for more synth oriented people.
do you need a separate speaker to run this through
Very nice
Who's Jaco?
Is this update also available for the trioPLUS? can i use this update also for the trioPLUS?
+trashman751 All these features are already in TRIO+

Yeah. Could work. Will try that.
When I buy this how do I know I'm not getting the older version?

can this pedal do meters such as 6/8 or 3/4 ?
Yes, it can play in 3/4. It'd documented in the manual. Each genre has different sub-genres or styles as they call it. Some styles are in 3/4. I gotta get one of these for practice atleast
Omg I m getting one but the Trio plus
Does the new + model have the muting feature shown at the end?
Yeah I’d rather play with jaco 👊🏻❤️but the option is cool
People judging audio quality via TH-cam and disliking it when they know it'll go into a guitar amp, which isn't that hifi either....
+MegaCrasherMusic Yeah I think the YT compression argument is somewhat of a myth.

Hahaha jammin with Jaco, good one 😂😂
Perfect for Jesus and Mary Chain songs.
Or a 20min version of "A Forest".
Into the Trios. ..
trio plus
I wish I had one like that 😧
+Alex Ruiz
Why?
Without the loop recording function this thing is pretty pointless.
Well yeah but I mean if I had at least 1 pedal, can't afford any
+Alex Ruiz
I also can't afford something like this here.

+DerEchteBold ahh well thanks !
Contact Carfrae Customs for a price on these pedals, he'll save you a bunch.

Cool idea but not tonewise...

It needs a USB / midi sync. So it will talk to a rc50. Or lopper
Can they put in better sounds than the Casio keyboard drum models?
ahh u can mute the Bass or the Drums or BOTH LOL!

play with fingers is not to everybody haha
last!
