I like to let it dry to make sure all of the glass is etched. Sometimes I have to add more etching cream around the decal. You can definitely wash the decal off with warm water. Thanks!
This is gorgeous. Do you think it needs to be sealed at all? I’ve never etched anything. And I’m getting a Cricut for Christmas and I’m thinking this might be my first project!
I have a difficult object that doesn’t have a lot of negative space to etch the inner part of the object. So just by applying the vinyl image first and applying the armor etch on top of the decal will it will still etch the object?
When applying a decal and etching cream the only part that will be etched is where the etching cream it's tojching the glass. Any part of you object that is glass and doesn't have the decal on it should etch. Hopefully that helps. 😊

Sorry that you're having that issue.. You would just need to resize it. I use 9 inches wide for my decals. Once you change the width size it should work.

What size wine bottle did you use?
Can you leave the vinyl on the bottle instead of taking it all off?
Yes you can leave the vinyl on. If you want to go that route I would etch the whole bottle first and then apply the vinyl.

I did mine with a paintbrush and it cane out all streaky 😢is the sponge brush the best ?
I'm sorry you didn't have good luck with the paint brush. A sponge does help with the streaks. You can also reapply if needed.

I haven't tried etching on a green bottle but I have seen others do etching projects with green bottles and it seems to show up well.

What size is the vinyl decal?
Most wine bottles are 9 to 9.5 inches around. I use a 9 inch wide decal for this project.
