I agree. From this perspective. NHP, all of them are individually very well capable Jazz musicians, but in this particular set, they did not do anything Jazz. Nyoro surely plays a few jazzy chords, you can pick a few blue notes from everyone here and there, yes. But the entire set does not feature a single jazz standard, and again, the most important aspect in Jazz is improvisation, or soloing, that does not happen anywhere. And so, this is not jazz, a form of Afro-fusion, or more precisely Keneo-fusion...to coin this term for the first time.
