Hes accurate, stays in the pocket, can run when he needs to and makes all the throws. his age and injury history are maybe the two things working against him but for how starved the nfl is for QBs i think hes going to move up draft boards especially if he balls out against Michigan.
Does anyone think that the ultimate perfect throws Penix makes also makes defenders a bit off base because they come out of his left hand? Just a thought.
Easy fix for the bad stoppage of the clock at the end of the game if to not require the team on offensive to immediately call a timeout when a player is injured until the team would ordinarily have to snap the ball. The only problem is the team's medical staff would be on the field when there is not an official timeout called (but so what). It is administrative management of the clock.
I think so now, but that first game that Oregon played UW. Oregon outplayed them. They also deflected 3 of his passes. At that time I'm thinking his lefty side arm style will get a lot of passes batted down in the NFL. But I think Penix adjusted from that game. Should make a fine NFL qb as long as he doesn't get beat up with a poor OL.
Slowly by surely the country is waking up to the Dawgs! Let’s keep sneaking up on them and take this! As a coach of another sport. Sports is all about “speed of play and mindset “. Texas should have stuck to their strengths and ran the ball. I get wanting to be aggressive & throw off Washington, but pretty much all year Texas won games by being able to run the ball & control the clock. Washington time of possession ended up being 36:20, controlling much of the 2nd half, which forced Texas play catch up & go to the air.
Texas suffered self inflicted urgency. They didn’t run the ball enough in the first half. They were trying to be cute with play calling and it bit them badly. Too many penalties as well. It’s sad that this was their worst performance of the season in the biggest game.
"Quinn Ewers completely fell apart"? Spoken by a true expert in throwing incompletions. 😂 Joel Klatt at Colorado: 61% career completion percentage; 1.39 to 1:00 touchdown-to-interception ratio. How about giving some credit to the defender's incredible PBU on the last play? That ball was not "thrown out of bounds" and would have been a TD without that amazing defensive effort. Hook 'em.
How does Sarkesian not go for 2 on their final td? it would have made it a 5 point game, thus keeping it a one score game if washington kicks a fg. (which they did)
I've been saying it all season and now it's irrevocably true: Sark and sEwers have got to go, period! I told y'all Washington was the far better team, but did you listen? I told you Sark would get outcoached and Quinn flailing when it's all on the line, especially seeing the kid crumble like a stale cookie in person numerous times, and yet I get told I am a "fake fan!" More penalty yards than all of the offense for Texas is pitiful and proof Texas is going NOWHERE but further down the toilet with Drunken Sark at the helm...
Joel that first play with 15 seconds left was called by sark classic sark being conservative calling some weird flip pass play sark didn’t start letting Quinn throw the ball downfield until the second half and by then it was too late if I’m sark I’m letting this kid off the leash and living with the results I mean seriously he never lets him throw downfield how is he supposed to settle into the game and get in rhythm when he rarely throws the ball more than 10 yards before the 2nd half
A 2nd year qb versus a 6th year qb. Of course you would think a guy with that much experience is better. Ewers will be better next season, but congrats to Penix.
That was the worst defensive playcalling I think I've seen all year from PK. Didnt make any adjustments to what Washington was doing. That was pathetic.
2 undefeateds in the Final proves that the committee got it wrong. FSU deserved to be in the CFP as the other Power 5 undefeated because they would have given a better fight compared to Texas and Bama.

And he’s right
Nice anchorman reference!
Not only can he pass , his receiver have some of the best hands i have ever seen in football
Penix should be a top 5 pick in the NFL draft.
How about now
@@johnnydiabetes6563 ... He has likely dropped somewhat in that first round selection process.
@@marktrail8624 he’s like qb5
Maybe not. The Texas secondary made him look like the number one pick, not so when you have a good defensive line and secondary.
Slowly by surely the country is waking up to the Dawgs! Let’s keep sneaking up on them and take this! As a coach of another sport. Sports is all about “speed of play and mindset “. Washington is at a next level where no others are. Michigan wants the complete opposite …slow pace. Washington has played those teams this year and turn them in W’s.
Go See “Boys in the Boat”. Same team as that teams was!
Go Montlake!
They have to change that injury timeout rule somehow. That was so bad
They said the same about Deshaun Watson in back to back years in 2015 and 2016. "Ah man, Deshaun Watson is clearly the best player college football, he should have won the heisman." But, its a regular season award and there were other great players that year, so it is what it is.
Im hoping the vikings draft Penix Jr . Him throwing vertical to JJ, Jordan and TJ would be something like that greatest show on turf Rams team
That would be a good fit! I'd like him on the falcons too with Bijan, London, and Pitts. They just need to fire arthur smith
@@NXN2 I agree those are his 2 best fits. I also like him with the steelers throwing down field to Pickens that would really open up the Steelers run game and create a balanced offense to match that great D.
Nah the Vikings can keep Dobbs
Seattle, Denver, Rams, Patriots, Commanders…
@@EverythingSportsStop Dobbs isn't even playing now dude smh
Joel, you did a great job belittling and dismissing the fact that Texas answered almost every time Washington scored and were 1 pass away from winning. 1 pass dude. Give Texas the respect they’ve earned and deserved.
As a Longhorns fan, I hope Washington wins it all.
Who gets drafted first Penix or JJ?
How good is Mizzou? 😅
Precise is greater than accurate.
I'm actually still surprised Mariato won the Heisman because of the east coast bias with that reward.
Penix is so good…
No
Penix didn't even get Pac-12 honors! Apparently he has to win the National Championship game to get any recognition? It's very frustrating to live in Washington and every one says where? Penix who? Now maybe people will pay attention. Huskies all the way!!
It’s nice to hear a guy talk ball with no agenda. Colin has fallen off a cliff.
Where them receipts of people saying Texas was too tough in the trenches
Not going to win many games giving up 214 yards on just five passes
Texas suffered self inflicted urgency. They didn’t run the ball enough in the first half. They were trying to be cute with play calling and it bit them badly. Too many penalties as well. It’s sad that this was their worst performance of the season in the biggest game.
They also had some key fumbles. They got outplayed. I feek Texas was overated at #3. I can tell my Ducks could have handled them as well as UW
@@marktrail8624 Oregon wouldn’t beat Texas, stop it.
@@DeeAyyee3 ... Texas was overrated for sure
GO BLUE!!! Penix hasn't faced a team like Michigan. Can't wait to see Michigan hold up that Natty.
Michigan hasn't faced an offense higher than 45th or so all year.
Re-watch the AZ state vs WA game, that will open your eyes. He has played great defenses
Left handers seem to be good “passers” Stabler, Young??
"Quinn Ewers completely fell apart"? Spoken by a true expert in throwing incompletions. 😂 Joel Klatt at Colorado: 61% career completion percentage; 1.39 to 1:00 touchdown-to-interception ratio. How about giving some credit to the defender's incredible PBU on the last play? That ball was not "thrown out of bounds" and would have been a TD without that amazing defensive effort. Hook 'em.
penix should've been a Heisman. i'm a USC bad and I thought he was better than Williams.
How does Sarkesian not go for 2 on their final td? it would have made it a 5 point game, thus keeping it a one score game if washington kicks a fg. (which they did)
Because if they miss they can't win on a TD.
thats a horrible way to look at it. @@manzell
@@JoefromNJ1 here to break it to you Joe, but get a life
i guess u and sarkesian must've been in remedial math together in elementary school. @@manzell
@@JoefromNJ1 as opposed to your PhD in dumbfuckery. Did you have any additional lessons for me, doctor?
I've been saying it all season and now it's irrevocably true: Sark and sEwers have got to go, period! I told y'all Washington was the far better team, but did you listen? I told you Sark would get outcoached and Quinn flailing when it's all on the line, especially seeing the kid crumble like a stale cookie in person numerous times, and yet I get told I am a "fake fan!"
More penalty yards than all of the offense for Texas is pitiful and proof Texas is going NOWHERE but further down the toilet with Drunken Sark at the helm...
Thanks for telling the world what, as a Dawg fan, I've seen with my own eyes all season. Daniels winning was a joke.
seahawks are picking him up 🎉
Joel that first play with 15 seconds left was called by sark classic sark being conservative calling some weird flip pass play sark didn’t start letting Quinn throw the ball downfield until the second half and by then it was too late if I’m sark I’m letting this kid off the leash and living with the results I mean seriously he never lets him throw downfield how is he supposed to settle into the game and get in rhythm when he rarely throws the ball more than 10 yards before the 2nd half
Joe klatt is NOT a cowboys fan
Texas lost that game Our quarterback play was horrible
So you're saying the other team had better QB play. Both teams had all the time to prepare.
Penix didn’t deserve the heisman because he wasn’t consistent game in and game out bud. And I know that because I DID watch all year.
2 undefeateds in the Final proves that the committee got it wrong. FSU deserved to be in the CFP as the other Power 5 undefeated because they would have given a better fight compared to Texas and Bama.
😂😂😂
A better fight? It was two one score games. Y’all lost by 60. I hoped FSU would put up a fight against Georgia but they didn’t. It validated that FSU isn’t good enough, and committee got it right.
So Florida St was really impressive in their bow game. Right. lol.
Real slim chance against Michigan.
That's what they all say
For real?!! Agree @@VelvetRev132 so ridiculous people write off UW all the time without looking at the tape. A team that has won 21 in a row has a "slim" chance? Please keep rooting against us. Go DAWGS.
Yep yep. Just like the slim chance against Texas, Oregon, USC, Oregon State, Utah the list goes on! I like our slim chances
I always love to hear this. Underdog fuel is very motivating.
Penix is a 6 year college football player making more $$$ than many NFL players. 25% of his life in college football. Can we be a bit reasonable with the accolades please.
To be fair he was not playing half that time due to injuries and Covid.
How many times are you going to post this same narrative? It doesn't make your argument any better to repeat it.
Half a season due to Covid, 1 ACL injuries and shoulder. Literally only played two full seasons - this one and last year!@@erickyoung8331
EAT IT !!!! UT is NOT better then TCU
Who did tcu play last night ?
Crazy take
It feels like 25-30% of his videos are just dramatic pauses. Talks for4 or 5 seconds, pause for 2 or 3 seconds, talks for 3 or 4 seconds, pauses for 1 or 2 seconds, etc. So annoying
Then don’t watch…. Simple as
Penix has spent 25% of his life as a college quarterback making more money than many NFL players and you guys want to make Joe Montana. Really! Get real.
