I'm also building my "own" motor driven voice assistant. I'm using the Big mouth Billy bass, and will keep it as original, but add the voice assistant. That way it will function just the way it did off the shelf in case you want to listen to the same two songs again but you can also say "hey Billy"
That is freakin awesome! One thing to consider (that I'm thinking of changing), if you want it to respond with recorded mp3's you have to make the speaker a media player instead of part of the voice assistant. Although, the ESP32 media player speakers haven't been super reliable either...
Nice one! Looking forward to the next part of this vid! I had a similar idea but animating a Terminator head to speak and light the eyes. I'll be following your progress with great interest. On the subject of dragons and their wings, I think the trick is that if their front legs / arms are wings and for walking then when used that way they probably make a 'V' shape from their centre of mass with the skin acting like a cape wrapping around their skeleton. I'd look at bats as the best example to draw inspiration from
Someday, I hope to modify my Squawkers McCaw robotic parrot to support custom control. From there, I want to setup Voice Recognition, GPT input and response, and pair them with a custom Eleven Labs text to speech voice. From there, I'd like to try to wear him on my shoulder at certain events and let people have conversations with him. Someday...
I like the unobtrusive ball on a shelf to hide the voice AI overlord. I want to build a HA diy into my Disney build-a-droid. But this looks incredible. Im waiting for the kit to include a Roost upon the smaller Sphere project.
I was going to do this with a Billy Bass / Alexa (yt video inspired me a while ago) but now HA is all voicey I'm going to use a Yano storyteller animatronic doll (because it freaks my gf out). Once I've worked out how to program servos...
Sorry. I used to say Aleka but other videos we're saying Alexa and it wasn't triggering mine so I figured maybe something changed. Anyway, dump that chick and get a Winston!
Hope part two is coming soon , just ordered my parrot :)
Hard to find the time to watch all these Dr. Zzs videos. I learn something every time I watch.
Are guys OK? No uploads in the last 4 months, I hope you are OK, greetings from Romania
