You know, they probably got up from that crash and looked at each other and didn’t even realize that they had died. Now they’re preaching the gospel on the other side of the veil. So very painful down here for the rest of us who feel their loss and miss them. Prayers for these boys mothers that they may feel comforted, loved, and have the Lord by their side to grieve.
Of course the gospel is preached to the dead. 1 Peter 3 tells us that's what Jesus did during his 3 days in the Spirit World. We talk all the time about missionary work in the afterlife. That's also a huge part of the reason why we do proxy work for the dead. There's nothing in our canon anywhere that says exactly when our Pre-Earth memories come back. The fact that the gospel is preached to the dead proves death is NOT the point at which they return. My personal guess if we remember once we've been resurrected, since every part of us has to return whole, mind, body, and spirit.
Tommy Gardner was my best friend we went to school together and we played basketball and Track together we basically did everything together almost like we were brothers, We were brothers fr
My condolences. You both are brothers forever. Think celestial, and you’ll be comforted. 2/5/2021 My missionary came home sick with a rare illness, different Drs missed checking on. Long story short he’s continuing the work on the other side. He loved being a missionary here and he continued on the other side. I prayed to see what he was doing. My prayers were answered in special ways. He’s doing amazing things!! My hard working missionary.🧡
@eclipse-sh1qmZ3mOtcuaGet out of the comments. It’s beyond your understanding when we say “my missionary”. You vomiting all over comments that states that. You already argued with someone else and had to apologize cause you are making assumptions. Leave it alone. This is a tragedy and you want to flip the heartfelt discussion of others who are directly impacted and grieving.

Humans don't become angels in heaven. Angels are a separate creation of God and they are totally different with a different purpose from human beings. I know that God knows all things and that He will do what is right and holy for these young men who were barely at the age of accountability. My condolences to their families and friends and church wards.
@@janetspiritofthelivinggod6328 humans can become angels in heaven. What we do here matters. When we go to the other side we continue the same routine because that’s where are hearts were set at. So if you wasted your time on earth then you’ll be spirits wandering aimlessly. These missionaries were at the age of accountability. They’re young adults.
@@lasvegashula Jewish age of accountability is 20 years old, so yes they are just barely at that age. And I will state again that it is false that humans become angels in heaven after death. There is no support for this idea. Humans are triune beings of body, soul and spirit. When we die our spirits live on and will be reunited with new spirit bodies of we are off God's family thru Jesus. We do not become angels. Angels have never lived a human life and once they picked their side they have no free will like we do. They are a separate creation of our Creator to be his messengers and to fight in the heavenly realm between the good ones and the evil ones that Lucifer convinced to follow him when they were thrown out of heaven to the earth.
Not everyone chooses to follow Christ when they die and that’s why we need missionaries. I don’t think our full recollection of the preexistence returns yet. I don’t think all mysteries of eternity are revealed. Spirits need to be taught in the spirit world to accept Jesus Christ, by missionaries, God’s warriors, God’s angels.

I’m so sad to learn this, and my heart goes out to their families, and their friends. May the Lord Jesus Christ comfort and bless you with peace. At some point, we will all be reunited and the hurt will be gone, and replaced with joy.
Heavenly Father, I am awake at 1:44 am Tuesday morning troubled with an ongoing problem that we have in our family. I have just learned of the terrible tragic of 2 of your servants that were killed in a horrific car accident in ND. Heavenly Father, my heart aches of their lost. I pray that Thy will encircle their families in Thy's robe of your eternal love for their sons and for the families as well. Heavenly Father, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Zuni NM and I have been so very fortunate, blessed to have many many couples of fine young missionaries in our home. I pray for comfort and strength for their loved ones and I pray that these two young men rest in peace. I love you brothers and sisters, in Thy's son holy name Jesus Christ Amen ❤️🕊️.
This breaks my heart. I think about the Elders that we've had in our ward. They're so mature in teaching the gospel, yet they're so darn young at heart. They used to be at church at our Young Women/Men at the end of the lesson, hoping for treats. I'm sure the Lord will bless their families for the sacrifices they're enduring through this terrible time. My prayers and condolences to both families for their losses.
They say the work on the other side of the veil is more vast-many more who need to be taught the fullness of Jesus Christ’s restored Gospel, yet not as many workers. These young men will be busy. 1 Peter 4:6: “For this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.” Thank the Lord for the restoration of the priesthood and sealing ordinances that bind families together. Their families WILL have them again someday.
I know these two will be missed terribly but they are with our lord now all our love comes to the families of these two boys from the Yuma branch Yuma Co
I served in what was basically the same mission from 2009-2011. Only it was the South Dakota Rapid City Mission and bigger than it is now. I also grew up in Riverton like Elder Gardner. My condolences to the families.
My heart aches for these guy's families and for the loss that they have suffered. And for the driver who's truck they hit. I can't what that driver must be feeling right now 😢 As for these two young men i hope they rest easy.
The truck driver did nothing wrong and couldn’t do anything different. When things either bad or good that happens I believe they were in the place they were meant to be at the time. Only God knows why this was meant for this to happen it must have been their time to go home.
sad... but crashing at full speed to a stopped vehicle speaks of the driver not paying attention.... and before you guys start speaking ill, I also served a mission and was also the designated driver and there was lot of highway driving in my area.
@eclipse-sh1qmZ3mOtcua I served in Albuquerque; it wasn't the distance, but the need to move around so much between areas using highways for meetings and traininings

It can on the surface. It's an office in the administration of the church. Entered into early (chronologic age), given the title of "Elder" is a position to live and look up to during a lifelong process of learning, serving, and becoming. It's actually a great thing to extend to a young adult, hopefully helps direct goals and actions in life, ya know.... (I'm speaking from experience :)
If it’s your time to go home, then it will be. I never worried about my sons when they were on a mission. They’re in Heavenly Father’s care. Those 2 missionaries will shine bright on the other side as long as they were serving faithfully here with all their might, mind and strength. My 4th son returned home from his mission very sick, misdiagnosed for 4 months. He was bedridden for 21 months. He died 12/14/22. He loved being a missionary on earth. He continued the work on the other side. I prayed the day after he passed to see what he was doing. I’ve been blessed to have those with the gift tell me that they see him, and they give me messages from him. I’m amazed!! My guardian angel. Didn’t know the blessings that came from having loved ones that passed away. My heart healed in about 9 months from his passing. I’m still traumatized by the medical care he received. He suffered!!! This morning I received a firmer reminder that things happened the way they were supposed to. Suffering is part of our experience on earth. It stretches us and can strengthen our testimony. Pray in faith. Walk in faith. And trust in Heavenly Father’s plan. As I think celestial, answers come and in God’s timing. Heavenly Father loves us so much!!! More than we know. There is so much to learn of the eternities. We just need to ask to know the mysteries of heaven. If it’s God’s will we will know.🧡
It’s so hard to see God’s infinite wisdom and purpose with our mortal and finite minds. Missionaries are protected, but if Heavenly Father needs them at home, there is nothing to stop it.
@eclipse-sh1qmZ3mOtcua you have a lot to learn. Instead of asking your many questions here, go pray sincerely to Heavenly Father. Find your answers with him.
