Love your ideas! 😀 The clock and piano were my favorites. BTW...I haven't found a glue that works well on the new Dollar Tree painted blocks. I think we should all contact DT and ask them to go back to just natural wood. 👍
I hate the brown blocks because they have a coating on them so when I have to use them I sand them where I want to glue them. I haven’t tried painting them, but I would think maybe a primer would help the paint adhere?
I really love all of your videos! Your projects are VERY classy and you take such care in your work. I am working on this wall hanging right now. If we are able to share a photo in these comments, I will share it when I am done!
Wood glue works best on bare wood. It becomes part of the fibers to make it strong. Paint interferes with that. Sometimes all purpose glues will work with paint.
I hate the brown blocks too. I use wood glue from dollar tree n you have to let the glue set longer than the plain blocks n the paint doesn't take to them as much. I can't sand them down with my arthritis.
Hi Jeanne I appreciate that you take time to sand the blocks for a smooth finish
thanks again Shirley!

I’ve use Weld Bond with some success using the ones with color. Otherwise, I’ve sanded them on the connected sides first.

Just found your channel. Love the clock.❤❤ e600 or super glue works for the brown blocks
Thanks Yolanda-welcome!

thanks donna- i’m gonna try some of those
@jeanne floberg mimicraft you are very welcome. Let me know how it works out. Thank you and I love your channel.
My understanding is that the wood glue from the Dollar Tree is not as good. You might splurge on gorilla wood glue.
😅 Try 'Titebond III Ultimate' wood glue. It's the glue that loves wood the most! Waterproof and can be used for interior or exterior projects.
Thanks for the tip!

thanks rose! i think the brown blocks are rejects that they paint-like lipstick on a pig. just bought aleenes all purpose glue to try
